Broncos out of the race for RCG, I think just leaves us and Dolphins.

us or Dogs IMO. The delay might be us trying to get rid of Klem or Dogs trying to get rid of JAC. Purely speculation on my part.

Last Friday Corey Horsburgh rejects our offer

RCG set to leave Parra for St George or Brisbane but come Monday this week both of those deals are off and a mystery club is on the scene.

RCG managed by Mark Stewart who also manages Turuva. I think the signs are there that WT have thrown their hat in the ring?

I think in the short term he'd be a good signing so a 2 year deal would be good outcome for WT.

The 3 year deal he is seeking would be crazy stuff.

I’m hopeful Pole resigns with the club but if that turns out not to be the case I don’t think it would be a huge blow. There are other players who could be signed who could be suitable replacements, arguably upgrades as well. The difficulty would be fighting off other clubs (Eels, Dragons, Roosters & current clubs) to their signature.

Whilst I agree with that on face value, the trouble is our pack this year was dominated pretty much every week and despite all of us being upset at Stef not playing to his potential, he was still close to our best forward and we have lost him, Pole would be a very close second. To strengthen this pack we need to retain these guys and add strength, not replace.

[/quote I think Pole has a very bright future, he still learning & will get better. But looking at his stats his defence needs to be better. In his 23 games he missed 64 tackles, compared with Oregon Kaufusi at the Sharks who missed 25 in his 23 games. Kaufusi also had 27 offloads compared to Fonua’s 7. Fonua played more minutes & ran more meters & had more tackle breaks, he was also in a team that struggled compared to the Sharks who were good. I guess there are different areas to look at, players will provide different things & depends on what will benefit the balance of the team best. But both Fonua & Kaufusi are good, young props. I hope Fonua resigns but if not then there will be others who we could chase & could add value.

Your stats suggest that Kafusi is a very good player and from what I can tell he has a contract option for 2025. He would have been a better signing than Royce Hunt in my view and if he is available we should be looking at him. Another front rower of promise is Tuku Hau Tapuha who is still a long way down the pecking order at the Sharks.

Apparently that third year was the deal breaker with the Dragons.

Actually I had kind of already factored in Montoya. If we havent signed Montoya, then Cobb would not be overkill.

Cobbo is a great player when he is focused and motivated, however has some personal issues so perhaps the Inglis factor at the Tigers may be the key to getting him settled and back to playing his best footy. I don't think he has a good relationship with Kevie, in fact methinks there may be a bit of an explosion coming at the Broncs with Kevie and certain factions within the team. They don't look like a happy bunch and Cobbo was critical of Kevie early on in his tenure

Wouldn’t shock me, they are stacked and we have a genuine opportunity open.
