I would be quite disappointed to see Bird in the centres. Surely he will be playing the Bateman role in the forwards.
don't think Montoya is that much of an upgrade on what we have, I would rather we buy another forward.

Montoya is an enormous upgrade on Staines imo. Staines got absolutely manhandled by Sivo on Friday night.

What are the thoughts on Adam Elliott from the Knights as lock?? I have read that he has been told to look around for next season, along with a few other players?? His wife is at the Roosters so, probably looking to return to Sydney??
Bird is an astute signing, especially if it's true he is at $375k per yr. I have received multiple messages from friends who support various teams (including the dragons) all saying that it's a big win for the Tigers getting him for that amount, so fingers crossed. I have always liked watching him play and he has been consistently good. Only blemish was his time at the Broncos, and that was mainly due to injury.

Agree, I think he's similar in some respect to Jack Williams at Sharks although Williams is a couple of years younger, played less games and probably more suited to the middle. That's who I'd like to see the club chase but Elliott probably a little less money. Even though we have brought Royce Hunt over from the Sharks I can’t help but think they still might lose another middle. AFB, Hamlin-Uele, Rudolph, McInnes, Kaufusi, Williams, Hazleton & Hau-Tapua will all be at the club next year if none leave. Williams is off contract, Kaufusi has a mutual option & Hazleton a club option. Any a chance for Tigers you think? Williams debuted under John Morris but I’d think Hazleton might be the likeliest to let go.
