I was a big supporter as I think there is a really good footballer there, that last brain explosion was it for me though. He has a lot to prove that he has the mentality to be an NRL player.

I just get a bit cautious listening to the platitudes of players as they prepare for the upcoming season. The mantra of many a lazy or ill disciplined footballer is that "this year will be different." I've said a number of times that I like Naden and at his best he walks into our 17. But will it happen? I'm still waiting for Owen Craige to turn it around and lolohere etc etc

Richo could be talking Naden up to try and create some interest around him

True. Where does the forgotten man Starford Toa fit in all this also?

@helmesy I actually rate Strarford, he had a good 2023 and was injured a lot (and I suspect playing whilst injured) in 2024.

  • If he's paired with a decent centres partner and a winger who can defend and not creep infield too much (ala Nofa) and get caught out of position  I think he'll, if he remains relatively injury free, have a great 2025.

Naden needs to play well to get work in 2026. I doubt very much he will be retained.

Has all the potential to.be a very solid player.

Depth player I guess. Hopefully not on huge coin

I think Starford is a decent player as well and doesn't deserve the hate but I also definitely think he is replaceable.

Wherever he is, I'm sure he's been training the house down over the summer

Yes, it falls under the Fox Sports 'fluff piece' category, but I did enjoy the read. Api sounds genuinely excited about the support he'll get from the new recruits and maturing juniors...

NRL 2025: Api Koroisau, Wests Tigers, Jarome Luai, Lachlan Galvin, Sunia Turuva, Tallyn Da Silva, Benji Marshall
