Very pale....
Being serious, Hastings learned to play the media game in the UK and he does it very well. I have not been drinking the Hastings Messianic Kool Aid but he must be Captain going forward.

Based on?

Nah if we get Ciraldo he’ll stay. There’s been nothing to suggest he won’t stay other than paranoid Madgemaniacs. Who wouldn’t want to play for the hottest development coach?
If Sheens and the club are serious about wanting a "development coach" (sorry Mike) then the offer MUST be 5 years. One of the few things we have to entice Ciraldo is strong Wests Harry Matts and Balmain SG Ball and it is going to take at least 5 years for these guys to come through the "pathways".
If I was negotiating, I'd offer him 5 years on good but not insane money with a clause offering him a massive payout if the club sack him early to show intent and commitment, but there would also be a clause with a massive penalty on Ciraldo if he left the club to go back to Panthers.
Do you really think the length matters? He’ll be sacked long before then.
Mike re-read my post. What I said is that if the club is REAL about the "development coach" thing (which you have a strong aversion to) then there is no alternative other than 5 years.
No point saying to someone, "we want you to be a coach to develop these kids but they will be 19 when your contract expires".
I read what you said just fine. I have absolutely no faith in the Board and Management of this club that they will honour any contract. The thing is the Board isn’t REAL about Wests Tigers at all. For the Board it’s like a hobby to them, they are there for the prestige. The real gig is Wests Ashfield and the associated clubs.
Even Lee is just a fan with money. They have no idea how to run a rugby league club. As long as Wests Tigers are not a financial burden the Board will do what they like with Wests Tigers. If that means sacking a coach because it will divert attention away from the real problems at the Wests Tigers, history shows us that’s what they’ll do. Contracts will mean nothing as long as any payout does not put them below the line.
Any coach that comes here is taking a huge risk.
How was his body language? 😂

Then we have come full circle. As I said, I would offer him a payout bonus if the board does exactly what you said. Incentive for them not to and security for Ciraldo.
We should be equally worried what happens if Cleary leaves Penrith mid contract, what happens to Ciraldo? There should be clauses to protect the club against that as well.
Kimmorley to see out the season and Sheens to take reigns after that 😳
Given what we went through with Cleary, putting yourself in Cowboy fans shoes, would you be ok with signing Payten for 2024?

Ciraldo’s appointment was leaked from a Board member yesterday as a done deal. What a great way to sabotage the process.
This is a massive issue and needs to be addressed as urgently as the coaching situation.
if we have a board pulling in different directions we will get precisely nowhere regardless of who’s coaching.
I have a sinking feeling that the Board is split between Crialdo and Flanagan.

Why do you think there are supporters of Flanagan?

Just things I’ve heard. Hope they aren’t true.
I think everyone wants ciraldo (development coach language etc). I do believe though that if we miss ciraldo then Flanagan is in the mix I believe which is a very strange pivot to make
I'd be extremely surprised if Flanagan was even being discussed.
