Nobody was saying that last year. Most were saying get rid of Ciraldo. Then the Bulldogs went on an end of year/off season buying spree and look where they are now.Watched the Bulldogs game today. Now that is a well coached side.
So true, we have to add more for 25 than the two Penrith boys.

We certainly do
@kenny4517 Agree with this Griffin has a wealth of experience and would be an older head , there needs to be another addition as well , Hiehno can run the water .
@snake I don’t know if we have an development officer. But I think Griffith will be perfect for this role. Maybe we can bring in someone like Neil Henry to help Benji. Our younger players need someone to teach them to fundamentals And help them get ready for first grade as I believe we rush our younger players too early.

Agree 100%.
But just want to say I love that we got Turuva... he filled in at fullback yesterday and was terrific. Good to have quality versatile player.
Hollbrook? We need a coach who knows what he’s doing. Can’t do another rookie coach or another ex Tigers player
If the club is not going to tap Benji on the shoulder then this is what I would like to happen.
-
GM Football Brad Arthur
-
Director of Coaching/Pathways John Morris.
-
Head Coach - Benji Marshall
-
Assistant Coach - Jason Demetriou / Anthony Griffin
-
Assistant Coach - Ryan Carr
-
Assistant Coach - Willie Talau
- One assistant coach with NRL experience and two good young assistant coaches. I know that it’s very unlikely to happen but it would make sense moving forward. No more jobs for he’s mates or the boys club. Richo has backed Benji and given him enough rope, to see that Benji is way way out of his depth. He seems to struggle with game planning, selections and in game decisions particularly around the bench … unfortunatel Just my opinion.
I thought Manly were ordinary last night, but still too good for our mob of misfits and serial offenders. As someone on X noted the game should have been played for the I Can't Coach Either Cup.

We’ve managed yet again to paint ourselves into a corner - our best players are all loyal to Benji, meaning there is no real opportunity to look elsewhere without another 2-3 years (at least) of pain.

Benji is a smart guy. He will see that he needs help - or maybe we hope that Wayne tells him he needs help. Everyone can surely see it.

The worry for me is how weak that Manly pack was. But they were on top of us all game. Real worry.

I've got question marks about TDS
But I have the same question marks about Benji.
Thats why i would not let TDS go at the moment. By Nov 1 we will know if we are keeping Benji for next year and TDS can negotiate with others if we/he wants. But I am not convinced Benji should be making decisions on our squad for next year especially who he wants to release.

My gut tells me TDS deal is already done.

@helmesy He has only himself to blame being in this situation surrounding himself with mates was never a going to end well . Always thought Richo was giving him enough rope by supplying him everything he wanted no excuses then. If Marshall can get a few wins and avoids the spoon he might have a chance .
