Let's assume that last part of your comment is true. Why?? That's what I want to know.Yes 💯 we’ve had experienced coaches, inexperienced. IT DOESN’T MATTER ‼️ As Crazy Ralph says in Friday the 13th … Ya Doomed if you go there 😂🤣Avo do you mean experienced like the 2 befor Benji ?An experienced coach is the only way to turn us around. Any rookie coach would crash and fail like Benji hasZero interest in Arthur or any of those recycled coaches - yesterday's men. Would rather Hannay or Dean Young if we had to look elsewhere (which we won't).
I think Benji (and co) is definitely an issue, but it's far from the biggest issue at the club. The squad is garbage, and the depth underneath is even worse. The development and recruitment has been laughable for a long time, and it's going to take a long time for any changes in that space to be felt at the top level.
Simple, we could never stick to a plan…. Until now!!!!Let's assume that last part of your comment is true. Why?? That's what I want to know.Yes 💯 we’ve had experienced coaches, inexperienced. Terrific. Tell us what the plan is because it's sure as hell not obvious to me.Simple, we could never stick to a plan…. Until now!!!!Let's assume that last part of your comment is true. Why?? Benji is coach until end 2027. Develop the youth/juniors and bring them into the top 30. Add externally only where needed so to compliment and strengthen the top 30. Don’t recruit externally into the juniors.Terrific. Tell us what the plan is because it's sure as hell not obvious to me.Simple, we could never stick to a plan…. Ok. Thanks. I assume that's your interpretation of "the plan". And, I really hope it works.Benji is coach until end 2027. Develop the youth/juniors and bring them into the top 30. My interpretation is that WT, led by the newly resurrected Richo, plan to honour the arrangement of Marshall as head coach devised by the previous rabble, despite any clear evidence that he can "develop" anyone; juniors or otherwise. If it was an ASX listed company, I wouldn't be investing.
@mercy-rule are we cursed?? Is there such a thing? It seems so …we really need to show some improvement going forward. If we stall again next year, maybe it’s a real thing.
No, I'm not into feelings of being cursed. Instead, I believe there has to be some fundamental reason as to how and why WT perform as they have done over the last decade or so. I just don't know what that reason is.@mercy-rule are we cursed?? Is there such a thing? It seems so …we really need to show some improvement going forward. @mercy-rule beware of the unknown I always say…. I don’t believe either but what else do we blame🤷♂️
that is frightening to think he was signed to the end of 27 with out a skerick of coaching experience. Lee and Justin seriously were so out of their depth its scary. How could have this been a good idea???
@avocadoontoast
Yeah if this continues they'll have more than enough evidence to let him go middle of next year. No way they could do it this year, he's too big of an influence around the club. But if the performances don't improve then it is only a matter of time.
I don't think Farah will be there next year either.
@usedtobeasouthsfan I don't think any of Marshall, Farah or Heighington should be there in 2025. We keep reading about a clean-out of the current players, well, IMO, it's time for a clean-out of the former players as well. Except Simon Dwyer, of course.

I don't think Richo is going to shy away from the tough decision if it needs to be made.
I'm happy to follow his decision on this one either way.
In memory of Geoff Chisholm (1965-2022)
@garry Richo already failed at the first hurdle of tough decisions the stadium policy .. folded like a deck of cards ! I have no faith in this guy at all moving forward has disappeared totally .
Agree with this. I'd retain John Morris for sure but the other guys are there because of their ties to the club, none of them would get roles elsewhere imo.@usedtobeasouthsfan I don't think any of Marshall, Farah or Heighington should be there in 2025.
