I actually think the longer this drags on, it actually looks more like Ciraldo is coming.

My reason for this is if he wasnt interested, he would know by now and surely he would let the club know and I would think let Penrith know he is stay. Surely the longer that it drags on, there isnt new information to consider. If he is thinking of coming I could see that there are a fair few things that Ciraldo would need to sort out with Penrith like are they cool for him to stay until the end of the year (potentially stealling IP), how does he tell the players (fair few are in Origin camp), how would it disrupt semi preparation etc.

Their are two other possibilities. Firstly they are haggling over price and conditions (just give it to him)....or secondly, he is a Clearesque mongrel and dragging it out to hurt a competitor club.

Can they please shut up about Ciraldo?!

Gonna look really stupid (again) when he says no

Yep, they are leaving themselves absolutely no wiggle room. This either tells you:

a. Ciraldo is signed and sealed

b. They have no idea what they’re doing

A little from column a and a little from column b?

Going on past performance b makes a rather compelling case 😆

It’s a bit rich to suggest it’s not Bellamy developing them

I think that Melbourne are a development club and he is the head coach there. I'm not doubting his role. I also think that is how we need to develop the Tigers. Smart recruitment and retention but typically not big dollar signings.

I still think development is a little overrated. You need the talent.

Somehow you make good decisions consistently on the juniors or development players you bring to the club.

They are way too transparent. If they want to make Ciraldo their no 1 target cool but there is no need to state that. It's just setting yourself up for failure.

I think the tigers will get Ciraldo.
There was an article posted on the other forum today advising he was leaning towards coming (no idea of the reputation of the journalist). Lee also mentioned recently the Tigers are hoping to announce their coach in a week or two. I know Lee says some silly things but you don’t say that unless things look very promising with CC who is apparently the only person they’ve spoken to.

Hypothetically we get Ciraldo, what happens if we're 0-6 or 3-12 next year?

Even if it’s a, b is still correct.

all part of the development. IMO thats why he gets a 5 year Contract.

So hypothetically we're wooden spooners after 2 years and 0-6 the third and we're still happy to honour the 5 years?

There's not a coach or player in the game I'd be comfortable giving 5 years to at this time. Especially someone unproven - it's a recipe for even longer term disaster.

I just voted for Flanagan. I'll support whoever they get but the idea of CC being some sort of a messiah astounds me. I think Flanagan is a better option.

I don't think we will get anyone ...it will be more a situation like Scomo and Albanese ...dregs ...again

Albanese

I reckon he has been unreal. Just killing it. Hopefully that happens with us.

Doesn't your original hypothetical and this one apply to any new coach we get?

What happens to [insert coach name here] if we are 0-7 in season x?

That’s right, any new coach at any club (although Seibold at Broncos is an exemption) gets two years before support starts to slip.

We are going to look stupid if Ciraldo doesn’t come after all this talk in the media by our leadership. At the very least Pascoe will need to step down.

This is so over the top. If he doesn't come we just look to recruit the next best option which will probably be better than the first option anyway.
