It's not looking good

If we do miss out - the board really need to look at the negotiation skills they have available either on the board or in admin.

As their have been a number of high profile misses including JAC and latrell

Most boards will bring in a 'deal making' businessman who can come in and seal the deal.

Even if Cilardo does come through in the end.

We shouldn't of let it drag on this long - cronulla sack Morris and announced Fitsgibbon on the same day.

They had a plan and executed it, we’re making it up on the hop.

That is what totally unprofessional organisation do. If we miss out on CC the list of mismanagement just gets longer.

We can not compete with the big guns when signing establish stars so we need to make our own and as importantly improve them as players once they hit first grade.

I agree with the first part but I'm skeptical about the second part. I think our coaches should in some ways be interchangeable in that they shouldn't be a significant issue in relation to our performance. They need to be professional but at that pay rate I'd be professional. I reckon Madge or Tigers management or maybe it's luck has left us in a good spot because I don't see any real dud signings in our team in relation to their impact on the cap. There may be an argument Brooks salary is too high but he only has a contract for next season. I reckon he has given us pretty good service as well.

I don't believe it's that easy to improve players or maybe better put the coaching system should be professional enough so that players can develop their games. I'm skeptical that any coach can make someone a star. They have to have that ability including smarts or efforts. If they do chuck them anywhere and they will get it done.

If it was possible to get a coach who was a genius and who can change the game that would change things but that is a high risk low probability event. Ciraldo could be that coach. I just don't see any proof that he is.

I like your the IP idea though but it's not sure thing. Madge had pretty good IP. I reckon the team as a whole slightly underperformed their potential with Madge at the helm. He definitely isn't that genius coach that comes along every so often.

I'm fine with whoever they pick. I'm just biased against Ciraldo now but it's because of the media dribble around him.

Craig Bellamy.....

It may be that Ciraldo has control over when it is announced.

Im probably clutching, but this is very possible. Ciraldo would be mindful of disrupting Pamfers.....having said that, this week would be the ideal time with rep round coming up.

Craig Bellamy.....

I don't think Bellamy changes them as much as the Melbourne culture changes them. Of course Bellamy has been largely responsible for that, but it's been built over 19 years. It's rare a player goes there and fails and it's been less and less as time moves on.

On the other hand, many leave and fail. I think Melbourne will be fine when Bellamy leaves as the structure of the club is so well defined.

Craig Bellamy.....

I think he has had more talent at his disposal than any coach in history. They made great strides when they did what I wish we would do which is rort the cap systematically.

Madge was an assistant at Melbourne. So was Kearney.

Yep. If you give him all the credit rather than the system they have in place which has included rorting the cap.

Earl that’s not what you said. You said he had the talent at his disposal. Those names I listed are this years squad. None of them were a success prior to Bellamy. It’s a bit rich to suggest it’s not Bellamy developing them

No deadline on Ciraldo

Reports that the Wests Tigers have placed a deadline on Cameron Ciraldo to make a decision about coaching the club next season are off the mark. The Tigers are in no position to make such a demand, particularly given Ciraldo has had plenty on his plate with Ivan Cleary in and out of work due to his health concerns.

The Tigers need an answer soon but they’re certainly not going to pressure Ciraldo. As much as he’s leaning towards making the switch to Concord, Penrith remain somewhat confident he may just stay at the foot of the Mountains.

Yep, they are leaving themselves absolutely no wiggle room. This either tells you:

a. Ciraldo is signed and sealed

b. They have no idea what they’re doing

A little from column a and a little from column b?
