Neutral for me. It’s hard to find someone who has good practical experience, is well connected and prepared to provide material financial support. That entitles him to be the chair, but performance is a separate issue. There have been some wins off the field, as well as plenty of mistakes which he needs to learn from.

Wins such as (serious question)?

The financial side of the business, COE, pathways. He should get some credit for that as partial offset for the bad calls that we are still living with.

I rate his performance as poor. Two things are stuck in my head, his comments during negotiations with Latrell and overseeing the end of season review. Both were handled unprofessionally in my view. I have no idea if he has been involved in anything positive apart from contributing sponsorship dollars.

Agree, good summation. I reckon he also messed up the Aloiai situation too.

as mentioned above, his involvement in Noffas extension is unforgivable at the club!!  at least he has learnt to shut his mouth this year, however at Tommys farwell game at Leichardt last year his involvement was darn right embarressing

Performance is terrible. Loves the limelight. I can't believe we handed over the keys to the kingdom in return for sponsorship

What’s he actually done for the club since his been here.

*Did he only get the job because of the money that’s tied up with the Brydens sponsorship as a way of keeping that said sponsorship around long term.

*Who appointed him or suggested him to the Board for the position was it Pascoe?

*I know Lee continually miss represents the club by putting his foot in it at every turn to the media.

*I would also be interested in knowing if he had any say in Nofoaluma signing that ridiculous long term contract. I know he told the media that while he was at WTs David wasn’t going anywhere.

Well I guess when we have a Chair that looks like an undertaker……..If it looks like a duck.

I think we a trapped. A CEO who is good commercially would be fine if paired with a strong owner (Board oversight) or Chairman. We have a fanboy Chairman and a weak (narrow) owner. Success for the club looks like turning a profit because it means we don’t have to draw on our owner for capital and it plays to Pascoes strengths. Sheens comes close to being a footy presence in senior leadership but is he just another employee? Does he control club decisions or only narrowly around the NRL pathways? For mine we either need to sell a majority ownership to private hands that view premiership as part of the objective (vs just surviving in the NRL ie making a profit) or we need an independent Chairman who knows what mega success looks like or we need a CEO who understands both rugby league and business.
