John Coates pretty please…Lee has made himself the face of the club, a club that is about to collect consecutive wooden spoons after sacking its “transition coach” halfway through the transition. The fact that this guy has such thin skin, says silly stuff in public and generally behaves/looks clownish does not assist in making us a more successful club. I would prefer if he took his sponsorship money and left and we got a proper chairman. Barry O’Farrell is back from India, maybe we should get him back. Or John Coates, that guy is a killer
I think all parties come off poorly here tbh. That pod is pretty juvenile as per others above, and it's silly from Lee to want to take it this far.
It's pretty funny that the pod is sponsored by Holman Barnes though.
Is that true, sponsored by HBG? Surely Lee H could get that removed quick smart rather than threaten legal action.
Yes the pod is sponsored by WA/HBG
And this isn't the first run in they've had with Lee.
Pretty crazy dynamic

@jedi-tiger robs lack of contrition , is really unbecoming.
they cracked jokes implying ,IMO, whether in jest or not , probably the worst thing you could ever imply about someone .
To then double down ,whether you dislike the bloke or not , makes rob look like a fool .
Sorry rob if you’re reading this . IMO you can have your feelings , and you are 💯 correct in those IMO. But when you cross that line , whether intentional or not , Lee has a right to say that’s not ok .
And to admit that you shouldn’t have said something , is not an admission of you being wrong .
This whole argument style which is a very new thing , of Gallipoli style trenches where no ground is gained or lost , defeats the whole point of debating in the first place .
I think everyone sux here , but I would go scorched earth if anyone every even slightly implied what they implied of Lee .
Doesn’t mean I think Lee is a good chairman , and/ or if he is a good bloke . I have no idea to the latter .
I don't think that was actually what they were implying.

@the-frog that place you refer to , I was invited once . Never went , but saw screen shots from others who did … and I felt like my IQ dropped 10 points just by reading those .
I agree with you 💯. Toxic fandom is a real thing . It borders on narcissism, and can really develop into all kinds of crazy behaviour , and as you said outcomes .
Whilst I get frustrated with our lack of success , and for me personally , I’m most frustrated in our lack of capitalism on the Benji/ Robbie era , and the huge good will that brought . It doesn’t justify some of the things I read , and hear . How Luke brooks didn’t sue some of the guys on the other forum , is a testament to his resilience. Because a lot of what got said , really would have given him grounds for a case .
Like I said Rob needs to have a good look in the mirror . Because that apology , if you’ll call it that , shows a real lack of class. And any moral high ground he did have , has been floated down the river now.
It sux , because when we win he can be a real enjoyable dude to listen to .
And I think that podcast has real potential. All 3 offer a good contrast , even if it is a bit of an echo chamber some times .
They booted me off there when I had a crack at them for using to bully and attack people behind their backs.

This quote from a SMH online opinion piece by Andrew Webster this morning on the issues within Souths atm; "This schoolyard imbroglio would be acceptable if it was a pub team or the Wests Tigers, but it’s South Sydney, one of the favourites at the start of the year to win the premiership"
What a damning indictment of the leadership and governance of WT. Is it any wonder we're on the way to a second, consecutive wooden spoon? I wonder if Chair/CEO/Board are aware of (or care about) the general reputation and standing of the way WT do things? Their disgraceful, arrogant and inept leadership has got us to this point.

thankfully nobody would be bothered to read Andrew Webster so we are ok
Well, I bothered. I actually quite like Webster. I think he's one of the better ones out there.Well, I bothered. The comment is that winning changes everything, so we start winning and this stuff goes away. Souths have only been losing for a few weeks and already the knives are out for them, and we get a week off because we beat the Dolphins.
I quite like Webbie and his views on not only tiger stuff but the entire NRL. He makes a lot of sense to me 🤷♂️This quote from a SMH online opinion piece by Andrew Webster this morning on the issues within Souths atm; "This schoolyard imbroglio would be acceptable if it was a pub team or the Wests Tigers, but it’s South Sydney, one of the favourites at the start of the year to win the premiership"

EX-TIGER EYES RETURN TO CONCORD
With chief executive Justin Pascoe under more and more pressure at the Tigers, don't be surprised if the club goes back to one of its own to replace him.
Eels boss Mark O'Neill is a Tigers legend, having playing in the club's 'unwinnable' 2005 grand final fairytale, captaining the team for much of the year.
O'Neill is rumoured to have had a couple of chats with the Tigers and if the changes keep coming in Tigertown, he may well be back in familiar territory in coming months.
@loganr21 I like Webster and Kent.
On the issue of our standing within the NRL Community,I must say it has only recently hit me what everybody thinks of us, or worse, feels sorry for us. This translates into difficulty in attracting big dollar sponsorships. Take away Brydens and we will soon see how hard it is to put a Corporate on a forever losing jumper!!!
For those bagging Lee (and yes he does deserve some criticism) he actually puts his money where his mouth is, unlike many others. Just saying......
Incredibly Intelligent Frog
@mercy-rule I’ll comment . He has zero respect in the game , and there’s a reason he isn’t on your tv much of at all anymore. And it has zero to do with his sexuality . Not well liked apparently
What was the story with why Mark Oniel left the first time?
@avocadoontoast this is a good thing , he was doing a pretty good job when he was here , only he had too many drinky poos at the Christmas party , and did some silly things .
He’s paid his penance having to work for the eels for so long . I’d take him back .
He’s exactly what guys are screaming for when they talk down the Farah GM stuff . An ex 05 winning tiger , with experience and skill in a GM role .
Apparently he and Pascoe arnt on the best of terms , but that could just be sour grapes or residual from the , IMO justified, sacking . There was no other outcome unfortunately that any business could and should take . Hopefully that’s water under the bridge , and Benji can talk him into it.
That’s a formidable football front office then with Fulton as well .
