If all we get is a transfer fee the fans will turn on Richo Imho. We have enormous leverage here, it’s insane to think we just want cash. We barely have 17 first graders in our top 30. We need a quality prop, 2RF, lock, centre and back up half. This is a non negotiable.
the fact that Galvins last act as a tiger will be a dropped ball over the line to win after hogging a 3 on 2 puts him right up there with Moses as my most hated player for the next 10 years.
the kid cannot defend in the middle, he will get owned.Screwed over once again by a Moses! How will a transfer fee help us this season? I'd rather see him rot in reserves than join another club mid-season. What if he joins the eels, & they beat us to a top 8 spot?
I agree with the sentiment of your post, but if Parra beat us into the top 8 it won't be because of gaining Galvin.
if he goes to Parramatta (don't think he will) he will contribute plenty to that team probably as a 13 for this year

I've just previously stated that I'll accept the club's stance but will add to that, Richo is not God but by all accounts, he is as astute and tough as they come in administration. That he can't magically sign good players mid-year that are not available shouldn't be a surprise.
This is what it comes down to, we dont know how he has screwed with the team dynamic and there is no doubt he is regressing on the field. They may also see him influencing TDS and the other juniors and we need to cut that out ASAP. I think the $$ transfer fee is a line in the sand and the negotiation moves from that, and it may include a player transfer to lower the amount. If we say we want a player swap than it may limit the options for us to get rid of him from the club. This to me looks like Benji and Richo have decided that the situation with him staying is untenable as most are saying he is on small $$ so why not just keep him, however I don't think that has anything to do with it now.Like many I'm not happy that we may release Galvin without a decent player in return. But...
We wanted a better CEO, and we got him. We wanted a better board, and we have one.
If they've thrashed this out in a meeting and the decision has been made that he can be released provided certain conditions are met, I accept it. The transfer fee may be high. There may be other movements in play.
We are no longer run by fools and I'm sure that Richo would have reported to the board with every possible angle having been considered, and without emotional sway.
So, I'll put aside my own emotions of how deplorable I think the agent has acted towards us (again!!) and how rejected I feel for the club.
Good riddance Lachlan!
The whole idea of a player swap is a bit pie in the sky, you have to have a quality player that they are willing to give up and that is willing to come to your club so the stars have to align.
I'd say the 'player swap' is more likely than the 'transfer fee' for a few reasons but mainly because Richo is smart enough to know that a transfer does not help WT win matches. Bringing in a player from Eels or Dogs is a potential win for us and Galvin's new club.
Richo's desire to bring this to a head now may well stem from the fact that he now knows Parra and the Dogs are now both interested. If he can get those clubs bidding against each other then that plays to his advantage.
If Parramatta for example are so keen to get Galvin and they know they need to offer a player of quality then they may start tapping blokes on the shoulder.
He’s played his last game for us.
I’d be expecting Doueihi to move into the halves next round (I’m not excited about that either) and maybe that opens a place for Taylan May?

we really need an announcement or two on players joining, Taylan and KPP should have been locked in by now. He’s played his last game for us.

And you thought there might not be enough content for a midweek pod, Joel! 😁
What are the odds that the Dogs make a play for him and TDS? Even though Gould rubbished claims about moving Mahoney on.

I think this is a bit harsh. A couple of plays prior to thus we were in exactly the same position and he passed it on, this time instead of repeat he looked to pass and then straightened up and found the line. Except for Campbell-Grahams go gadget arms he won that game for us then and there. IMO.
He’s only interested the bottom line making him self look good to the board so when he steps away he can say he left the club in a much stronger financial position. Let’s not worry about on field position if we let players continually go and not replacingThe whole idea of a player swap is a bit pie in the sky, you have to have a quality player that they are willing to give up and that is willing to come to your club so the stars have to align.

them how does that help on field performance why let the players leave in the first place
Had a drink with a mate who knows some players at roosters, he is very very confident deal done Galvin to roosters for next week
He also said DCE to Dolphins
Hopefully we can come in late and entice DCE to stay in Sydney
@yanni, surely you're not criticising Richardson? You're doubting his influence and standing among the big-time clubs and player managers? A glass-jaw CEO who can be played off a break? A relic of another era? Surely not. That won't go down well on here.

Surely if he's off to the Roosters then they would have a player or two we might be interested in? 🤔
Spencer please, Sandon maybe, Hugo seems to be like Galvin (big body, Slow)but a much better kicking game.Had a drink with a mate who knows some players at roosters, he is very very confident deal done Galvin to roosters for next week
