I was thinking about this after Declan raised the point in the most recent podcast - Alex Seyfarth is the only Balmain or Wests junior to debut in first grade in recent years.
When you think about how many juniors we have it really is a poor indictment on us and our focus in this area in the past five years or so.
Before Seyfarth, the return of Doueihi after Souths gave him a start and you’re looking back to 2017 with Bayley Sironen and JMK.
When we talk about areas ripe for improvement, surely this is something we can and must do much, much better?

Depends what you consider a Junior. Didnt Hoffman and Cini play junior reps for Wests?
@tiger5150 Ryan Hoffman yes but Reece Hoffman was from Queensland and Cini came from the Penrith system.

Absolutely! It's another aspect that highlights our poor management over many years.

THats my point. They both played Jersey Flegg for Tigers. Junior reps.
