If you are going to make a really controversial call (like going all in on CSS or ditching LO for SFS) then I think it has to be all or nothing. For example if we went all in on commbank and forced every fan to go there every week if they wanted to watch a game live then I think it would eventually work. Allowing fans to stick in their corner and just get memberships to their personal preferred option when there is no obvious clear cut obvious choice for the club to make means that we perpetuate the stadium wars. It’s weakness from management that leaves us in this position.
if the club wanted to make a generational call like saying we are going to CSS and going all in but it is supported by this data, survey, government commitment etc then it would work but that’s not what we are going to do. We are going to announce more games and both LO and CSS and announce how great it is for the fans even though we literally tried this 20 years ago.
@tigertownsfs I think if we went all in for SFS as an example, the wheels would completely fall off the south west and Campbelltown area.
Likewise if we went all in to Campbelltown the backside would fall out if the inner west.
I simply don't think you can not share home grounds 23 years on.
Put an Academy out it Campbelltown and that will keep the juniors interested and play nrlw out at CSS along with the Junior grades or something like that
The split itself could be something you work with though, 6 and 6 or 7 and 5 etc
do you have a reserved seat for that game in the stand ?
BTW, 40m concourse north or south? Im probably 30m south (correct me if Im wrong Garry?).
You are spot on mate, I am about the 40-45. Best place in the world to watch footy in those seats and the section I'm in is incredibly family friendly and full of kids. Though I did have some yobbo from about 30m line at the South end come and bug me a few times.

I think the LO/CSS is more just a cop out from management. Rather than take the hard decision that might be difficult in the short run, just take the easy option that offends the least amount of people
I think this is 100% correct that Management are taking the path of least resistance (easy option) and for that reason I think it is the exact right response.
This club is in massive trouble with multiple problems on many layers and IMO its not overstating it to say our actual existence is on the line. The "home ground" issue is real and does need addressing. Its not an easy fix and there is no real straightforward answer as evidenced by this thread and similar threads on other forums for years.
This club needs to put first things first. Fix the management structure and the team. Get the club/team successful on and off the park and then this will flow onto the home ground decision. Taking a strong stance on a massive decision like all in at CSS, or SFS, whilst it might even be the right decision, will impose a massive slap on the fans at our lowest (i hope) point. Going all in at CSS or SFS right now whilst we will be lucky to win a game could be the final nail.
IMO they are doing the right thing. It is a more focused plan than previously, 50:50 LO/CSS and get the rest of our ducks in order. Once we start winning, get some success back in the DNA then bigger decisions can be considered from a stronger position. I look forward to the day we give up LO because we are maxing out each week.

play nrlw out at CSS
That is not a club decision.

That is a very good point.

Just want to say that there have been some really good points raised here. Maybe a 8 CSS and 4 LO is the way to go for now.
I’ll also add that every other time I’ve been in a discussion around this it’s become heated quickly so I normally stay out of it. I appreciate everyone’s respectful approach to different ideals.

You have no idea how badly I wanted to respond to this post by just swearing at you lol
