Ahh…well my sympathies

Why you sorry? I live in the best state in Australia and I'm a NSW country boy. 😁

I can't wait to check the threads in the morning to get my latest edition of WT board short falls and home ground banter. 😴

If you start with the premise that you need to have (predominantly) one home ground then I think CSS picks itself. It may or may not get an upgrade any time soon. Having a second home ground to acknowledge inner west roots for a few games a year I can live with that. But we can’t have 3 home grounds. You can’t have LO and SFS, it just is continuation of the status quo. If you kill Tamworth and buy back magic round maybe you could have one heritage round at LO.

8 CSS

3 Sydney derbies at SFS

1 LO

or

9 CSS

3 LO

i think these are the viable options. Parramatta is not viable. It is a compromise option that actually doesn’t deliver anything for the club. At least with SFS you could argue it could host some mega-derbies. The SFS games cannot be against roosters or south’s.

Plus, you'd need to change your name to TigerTownCommBank 😄

“Unless there is money spent on that facility, unless there is an upgrade to bring it into the 21st century, then by the end of 2023 there will be no further elite sports played there.”

Going by what Lee has said, we aren't playing at LO next year

Lee says a lot of things…….

did the club give a breakdown of memberships e.g. how many members are LO members vs CSS vs dual membership

Suspect the club knows if they drop LO and go with just CSS the backside will fall out of the membership base, don't think they will do that.

If the club are not going to do a 50-50 split then they need to choose SFS or Accor to partner CSS they can't just run with CSS and they won't do that anyway imo.

Only option they really have is

SFS / Accor 5 games

CSS 5 games

LO 2 games - out if Sydney teams, won't get more than 20k anyway

@jedi-tiger I like that as the make up of games as it caters to everyone and is a good balance. However I feel the club are struggling to commit to anything but an even split between Campbelltown and Leichhardt.

I’d just do it now. People will be upset either way but Leichhardts days are number for holding more than 1 or 2 games a year.

they also need a big stadium for the Easter Monday clash

@the-last-ronin I just fear if we go to CSS and drop off LO we will have a hell of a backlash.

Do you go to the games, how many do you go and watch? What game was the last one you watched?

I agree. Your proposal is the best I’ve seen. We need to slowly ease out of Leichhardt as a core venue

he’s right. Leichhardt has a really core following of people who will only go there.

We need to rip the Band-Aid off. If that means a short term hit on membership, so be it.

@mike the club won't survive if it is just CSS though.

You would need to have Accor or SFS lined up to take LO place

Speaking to the membership department last year I was trying to add a seat at LO and the guy was saying it is difficult there as many members are just LO members and have kept seats since inception and don't even attend games due to living interstate. The club would have the data and would know doubt analyse those sort of info.

We also have the COE at Concord so that woykd say you don't abandon the inner west for CSS you woukd need SFS or Accor in its place.

I think the fan forum was a great idea but for some perspective it was at campbletown and likely plenty of fans going where either CSS members or potential dual members with LO. If you did the same forum at Balmain Bowlo you probably get a different response.

We are 20 plus years in we can't just discard one side of a fan base by moving all games to SFS or all to CSS we are too far down the rabbit hole for that now. A split is the only way to go, the club just needs to work out the right split, most fans are probably fine with an inner west and CSS split just not one and the other

Personally I prefer for good of the juniors to bias a few more games at CSS. Would also help the redevelopment argument also.

we absolutely cannot play roosters or south’s at SFS but that would be exactly the type of thing that Pascoe would do to maximise “financials”. The reality is that playing parra/bulldogs/dragons there would also be massive selling events without giving away a home game.
