@garry if it is not Accor then the club should look at
5. SFS
4 CSS
3 LO
No Tamworth and no magic round
I don't think we should be considering 3 grounds.
Agree with this.
Thing is, Leichhardt and Campbo aren't up to it in most measures. We can't really commit to either long term until there are serious upgrades made, which is obviously a hard sell with public money at the moment.
That said, the AFL appear to be getting a stadium for free in Tasmania despite already having two grounds with decent facilities. We need to hire their lobbyists.
My opinion is the only way to get them upgraded is to start playing more than token games there and selling them out. It makes your argument much stronger.

We'd have at least 25k+ wanting to attend each game, but can only fit in 15-17k.
Then your argument for upgrades becomes much stronger.

@garry ok so as members we only get maximum 10 games at home next year.
Two games less than Parramatta at home

Well the hard thing is the only measurable is how many attended each game - which at LO/CS is 15-17k
You can't measure how many people didn't go to the game because it was either sold out, or due to the standard of the facilities.
So bottom line, we'd be averaging at best 17k while Roosters averaging 28k
The bigger clubs playing out of premium stadiums are more likely to attract TPA, plus more likely to attract decent talent more generally, providing an onfield benefit.
If you go with a SFS/CS split - you get to demonstrate you can attract big crowds at SFS which provides a an argument to get something similar at CS.
Seeking significant upgrades for 1 stadium will be hard and likely take 10-15 years given the recent investments. Seeking significant upgrades for 2 grounds will be impossible I think

Ask any team anywhere in the world whether “all else equal” they are more likely to win at home or away and 💯 will say at home. Giving away our home games to Tamworth, NZ or Brisbane is negligent and at this point I think is disqualifying for management. The original decision 10yrs ago to sell games to ANZ stadium was a dumb decision required to balance the books. Persisting with it today and expanding it to other venues is just criminal mismanagement.
How does magic weekend work? I would of thought home ground status rotates each year?

I’d like to know what the exit plan is for LO once it is deemed unfit for NRL games?

no it’s been our home game every years we have played it. I believe it’s opt in. No doubt it’s a financial windfall for the home teams but we need wins not dollars.

I think we all know the answer to that is their isn't one.
Which underscores the utter lunacy of a CSS/LO home ground strategy.
What happened to the clubs campaign of upgrade LO or they walk?
It's gone all quiet - is it now safe, because there's been no work done has there?
I'm not a sydneysider, so speaking from a distance, but I can't see how LO without funding is fit for an NRL home ground in 5-10 years time.

It won’t be fit for the NRL and it won’t be funded under current government priorities. So what’s the exit strategy? What happened to the clubs campaign of upgrade LO or they walk?

There are no big stadiums that meet our needs, closest is CommBank and no one wants to have it as our homeground.

No, some teams request it as there is a financial incentive.

That wasn't a club campaign, it was a hollow threat from Leichhardt Council.

That has gone very quiet, will be interesting to see how Darcy paints the picture now his ALP mates are in power.
