After the last couple of weeks, I was softening a little on the SFS, but the Roosters have claimed it, just like Parra and CommBank. I would prefer CommBank than the SFS.

Parra didn’t claim CommBank, they didn’t have to, it was essentially built for them.
The SFS was built for the Waratahs and Wallabies and the fact that the Roosters have to “claim” it should tell you all you need to know.

I don't see home of the Parramatta Eels plastered on CommBank, Home of the Sydney Roosters is definitely on the SFS though.

The Parra Leagues club is less than 50m from CommBank and is covered with Parra imagery 20m high.
Funnily enough South’s don’t have a problem playing in the East principally because they can see the commercial benefits of playing there in a world class stadium.

Yeah it’s hardly comparable to what’s on Parra leagues club and here would be nothing to stop Tigers or South’s imagery going up also.

Yeah you're right, there is no Parramatta imagery on CommBank, just on the building next door. The Roosters however have their logo and a sign that states the SFS is theirs right on the stadium. The State Government has given it to them.

We are putting the same on the COE, I doubt the Roosters will be using our COE though. We will literally be playing in that building in the pic.

While there is always Roosters skullduggery at play in many undertakings,if one wants to be literal about it,it’s true the SFS is the home of the Roosters. The Sydney Sports Ground which was the forerunner to the original SFS was Roosters’ home ground for years and years. If any side has its DNA etched into the site, unfortunately it has to be conceded to the Roosters, just as it would be argued that the Rabbits are synonymous with Redfern from the historical perspective even though they no longer play there.
I’d like to know from those not too interested in the SFS what their optimum home ground solution looks like given that there’s no upgrade currently proposed for either LO or CSS.
My order of preference would be
LO/CSS split with CSS rebuilt or largely upgraded (I'd commit to playing more games there as a process to trying to get funding)
CommBank
SFS
Hell
ANZ
In the absence of an upgrade playing the majority of our games at LO and CSS would be commercial suicide for the club.
LO is literally a death trap and there’s no evidence we have a significant number of fans in the Macarthur.
Also I’m interested why CommBank is above SFS.
It's not in the Eastern Suburbs and is the right size.
Parramatta is not a better location than Moore Park for attracting fans.
The SFS capacity is only 15k higher than CommBank and acoustically designed to maximise the atmosphere with smaller crowds.
I don't think a side called Wests should be playing in the Eastern Suburbs.
This type of parochialism will kill the club
So true. If we were the Campbelltown Tigers I can see the point. Our name ‘Wests’ is extremely vague at best. Add that in with the 70 years of Wests being inner west, and 90 years of Balmain being a stones throw from the city I don’t think it’s that big an issue.
There is not a lot "East" of SFS. Paddo, Queens Park, Bondi Junction...Bondi...

Well the first game there will be a Roosters home game against Souths.
The electronic signage could also say Home of the Wests Tigers or Home of South Sydney.
I really don’t have a problem with the electronic signage. It can say whatever, whenever.
The bottom line is it will be the best stadium in Australia to watch Rugby League and we should claim it as our home ground.

Its literally built on top of where the old Sydney Sports Ground (Easts home since 1908) used to be.
