Nope, that would be an absolute disaster. The Wests Tigers would die if that were to ever happen. That was the previous Lawyers plan. Says how much faith you can have in it. I would never, ever support a joint venture with the Bulldogs.I kind of think in the future a shared stadium will be built at Liverpool with shared tenants dogs and tigers
A shared liverpool stadium would be no different than a shared commbank currently with eels
if both clubs pushed for it you could get a 30k stadium built in a swing electorate like Liverpool
dogs would play a game or 2 out of belmore
tigers a game or 2 out of Leichardt
nobody would be talking a joint venture

Disagree. It is definitely not the same. It would be an unmitigated disaster. Never, ever trust the Bulldogs. You won’t get a 30K stadium at Liverpool, it’s a complete furphy, initiated by the fedora so that he could have a ground near his office.

Parramatta is a shared stadium right next to a leagues club, no risk of them taking over us.
Liverpool would be the same and would service the South West the space is right there at.hume highway and rememberance drive, if homebush doesn't get a facelift then dogs will want to play somewhere, Vlandys was pro it back in 2021 I wouldn't say never

You make too much of the Leagues Club.

major source of revenue for an opposition club, no other teams plays right next door to an opposition leagues club, not a good look when you see that Eel logo on the wall as you leave the stadium, really doesn't feel like home given the stadium is in another teams suburb too

Just don't go to the leagues club if it bothers you. Seems a simple solution.

I have been to a lot of A league games at Commbank over the last 2 seasons. Joined the Parramatta Club, down on the corner of Macquarie St. Good parking , always plenty of fans there before and after games and only a short walk to the stadium. Don't even think or look at The Leagues Club on game day.

the leagues club is a sign in the wall that overlooks the ground, From an optical perspective the club is right there you can see thst Eel emblem however the main issue is the ground is located in Parramatta
Richo can spin it how he likes it is still located in.... Parramatta
Parramatta already has a team
it is like penrith electing to play games at CSS, located in the Campletown area next to a leagues club
or manly electing to play all games out of Shark Park, or Bulldogs playing all games out of Brookvale, these areas are already other teams homes
The club was unlucky homebush never got redeveloped as that is not located smack bang in the middle of an opposition teams area

A League great that is not nrl and not a competitors leagues club
The mayor of Campbelltown says they won’t have $50 million for the stadium, and certainly not by June 30.
He says that while they want the Tigers playing there, the state and federal governments are going to have to come to the party.

Much rather Western Sydney Stadium than anything in Liverpool. Western Sydney Stadium is much easier for everyone to get to.the leagues club is a sign in the wall that overlooks the ground, From an optical perspective the club is right there you can see thst Eel emblem however the main issue is the ground is located in Parramatta

My unpopular opinion is I’d much rather be playing out of Stadium Australia than any other ground. More Park next and then Western Sydney Stadium. I know it will end up being Western Sydney Stadium and I can live with that.
Richo at least having a crack during a federal election. Not a silly idea and when they say 100m over 10yrs it doesn’t sound as bad. Really the NSW government should be investing in this community facility in the south west. Doubt it works but worth a shot. Will be interesting to see if the tigers can get a better vibe at Commbank and given tigers are on the ascendency whilst the eels are in decline there might be a window for fans to embrace it. I still hate sitting in the sun as a member in the eastern stand though
I must say the Tigers club have a bit of a nerve ..how many stadiums does one club want the tax payers federally and state to rebuild for them .Honestly it’s a bit of a joke when there are already purpose built modern stadia available!! I am over reading many posts by supporters bemoaning how these stadiums are not good enough for their presence ….maybe it’s time that the supporter base put the big boys pants on and stop wanting there fellow tax payers to massage their requirement’s . The club needs to smell the roses and move on if they want to compete with the big players … step up and set this club up for the future and stop grovelling!

I agree.

I know Homebush can be a bit dour when you have less than 25k ppl, however I'm sure Richo and his team can come up with ways to bring the crowd into the game and lift the atmosphere...Make it free for all school students who attend with a paying adult, I believe the real revenue is on the corporate side and what the stadium tips in for us to play there so this should not break the bank. It will help lift numbers of attendees, and perhaps even overall membership, as its more compelling to go to the footy when the kids get in free. Get Tigers branding on the stadium like the Roosters did at Allianz, claim it as our home...the reality is we desperately need the additional revenue we would get from playing at a proper stadium. If LO and CSS can get their act together and get a proper renovation with capacity in excess of 25k, than that becomes our home in the future...until then we are kidding ourselves playing out of run down, low capacity stadiums...I love LO however would sacrifice it in an instant for a club that can be consistently successful because it is properly funded. I have too many friends who are die hard Tigers supporters, yet their kids are supporting other teams because we have been shit for so long...that is the slow death that will lead to the end of our club.
I say we need the extra funding because it is quite apparent that we are not as well funded as many of the other clubs in the NRL. Just look at the numbers of support staff other teams have at games, both home and away as well as training sessions and look at what we have...its pretty dire. You can also see it in the coach's box, other teams have 5+ coaches/assistants and multiple people just analyzing metrics on their pc's, we just have Benji, John, Simon and the lady (sorry don't know her name) at most, and only person looking at a screen is Simon.
