@the-last-ronin The SFS is the way to go  .. the small mindedness of many Re Comm bank is ridiculous your own taxes built the place for your use !!! What a great stadium and central, the pettiness is breathtaking! The club needs to grow a set and set the Weststigers up for the future and start thinking like big boys , not thinking about making the numbers up is ok .

I’d would have been happy if the club went all in for either of those venues. They are both great grounds to watch football at.

I know you’re against it but a model with a game at Campbelltown and Leichhardt (as SFS stated) works to keep sections of the fan base happy

I like the idea of 2 grounds - not sure we can get down to 1 ground given the geographical split between inner west and outer west.

My concern with split of LO and CSS was they only hold 15-18k - when we start making the 8 we need to cater for crowds of 25k +.

We need a board that treats the club as the biggest and best Sydney team.

I know this will be unpopular, but we can't be playing out of LO if it only holds 15k and the club has said is currently unsafe.

What about:

8 at SFS

4 at CSS

(No magic or tamworth)

Trails and NRLW at Leichardt

I believe some influential people might share this perspective.

@frullens in it’s current state Leichhardt isn’t up to scratch.

viewing is poor from GA areas

grandstands are small with limited seating

corporate areas are substandard

the change rooms for home, away and refs are all substandard

I’ve noticed Darcy is pushing for an upgrade from the government and apparently has a master plan coming however it needs major work to be considered acceptable in the modern market. The occasional game yes but for a professional team as the home ground it doesn’t meet requirements.

We are turning 25 this year,  it's time we moved out of our parents house and grew up

We will be the biggest Sydney club if we start taking ourselves seriously

@frullens I realised after 2005 that this club was a huge beast just waiting to be prodded to life  … alas all these years later things could not be worse and now back to the future next season. The other variable that has not been mentioned is the corporate facilities  at these 2 grounds which are sub standard , like it or not the club will never become a force without corporate dollars you have to give these guys a great game day experience for them and there clients not sub standard ammenities. Alliance and Comm Bank stadiums have these facilities that are ready to use , it is time this club grew up and started to think big and step up to play with the big boys ,!

Why not? Why not start afresh?

I'm not against using the momentum of the clubs on field performance, to move us into bigger stadium.

I.e move to the SFS the year after we first make finals

if we were to move to a big stadium in a few years

club should simply ditch magic round and Tamworth and play 12 home games

1 CSS

1 LO

10 SFS

I would still prefer CommBank to any of the other major stadiums.

In memory of Geoff Chisholm (1965-2022)
