Fox Sports has ranked our forward pack 16th.

Thoughts?

This is a horrible list overall but I don’t think we’ll be considered the worst pack by the end of the season. Hopefully players like Blore have a real breakout year but experience might be an issue again in 2022.

Let’s hope this click bait rating from fox puts a real fire in the WTs forwards bellies to prove all those over paid doubter’s wrong.

I think they're probably right. Can't recall us dominating a forward pack last year and we have a very similar pack. If we're not last we're definitely in the bottom few.

As others have said perhaps if Blore can become a starter, and improve the defence, and Musgrove find consistency and bring aggression it might give us some confidence. Peachey brings creativity we didn't have last season.

I'll guess we will have to wait and see. I'm not really sure. I think a lot depends on who Madge picks.

our pack only really has twal and Peachey and Stef

Blore is an unknown own hopefully turns into a good player but yet to see it, if he kicks on we are looking better

Hooker a massive problem Liddle can't play 80 and we need to give Simpkin some game time so they probably share the role.

we need a big year out of Tamou and simpkins and or Garner

probably a bottom 4 pack at present

I think its a fair assessment.

How many of our established forwards would make the top 17 at another club?

Stefano obviously but few others.

Perhaps crazily, I have retained some hope in Musgrove despite some glaring defensive errors in his last NRL game + suspensions + off field issues. He's got a very strong carry in him and I think we desperately need that.

Yep, we need something from Musgrove this year.

Really hard to quantify but at this stage of the year, like every other year, hope springs eternal!

On the positive side we really do have a clutch of young players on the cusp of progression.Stefano was inspiring.Sean Blore was really showing his class towards the end of the season. There are a few ifs regarding our pack but when these guys can cobble together a bit of confidence we will see a real resurgence.I think Madge will be far better equipped given the new coaching personnel and structures to bring out the best in our pack.He was a virtual man alone last year. We’ll definitely have more bargaining clout to buy when the opportunity arises.

As far as Fox ratings, that’s just an opinion although the Roosters and Storm do have impressive lineups. As for the rest I dare to say there may be a lot more evenness than first meets the eye.Afterall, any team is only a couple of crucial injuries away from success or failure, and the distance between the two is rather minimal.

Pre season and pre trials, the glass just has to be half full of your favourite with a dash of delusion maybe.Hoping to be pleasantly surprised by our beloved WTs.

No way we have the worst pack.

Time will tell but I think we are around middle of the pack
