Tomorrow Tuesday 12 December 2023 is the last board meeting for 2023. The hot topic for this meeting will surely be the review recommendations. This is a once in a generation opportunity for the club to move forward and accept the recommendations and plan for their implementation. Either they do accept the recommendations or I believe that the club will implode.

I'm pleased that the forum organisers have been so successful in getting the review off the ground and commend them for their efforts.

I'm also pleased the reviewers have had the courage to stand up for what is right through what is believed to be a genuine set of recommendations for reform.

I still doubt that the directors who form part of the Holman Barnes Group have any desire to stand aside. I believe that HBG was established to protect those in power. We'll find out soon enough I guess!

The response from the club to the review is going to have a big impact on how I engage with the club moving forward. I really hope they are transparent around what it recommends and follow through

Michael Chammas reporting for SMH…

EXCLUSIVE

Entire Wests Tigers board has been dismissed effective immediately.

CEO Justin Pascoe has resigned. Barry O'Farrell interim chairman. Shane Richardson interim CEO.

Things have just exploded at the Wests Tigers.

The seismic changes at the joint venture follow an independent review into the governance of the club and a restructure officially endorsed by the club’s shareholders in a meeting on Monday night.

The review was ordered by the Holman Barnes Group, the controlling faction on the Tigers board, and while the changes are subject to legal approval, HBG chair Tony Andreacchio said that the changes were necessary after the club went 12 years without a finals appearance.

*******
I don’t know how true this is but I hope it is…

Yay. And may I just say thank you Steve and everyone else associated with setting up the petition and suggesting a review of the Governance of the club. Now we can move forward.

Hallaluah Brothers and Sisters. Hats off to the HBG for having the balls to make such a decision. Never thought it would happen.
