Being honest I have not been excited about signing Sezer although confident that he will at least match Brooks or Wakeham from last year. Someone posted this video and I have to say his two strengths seem to be his short kicking game and his pass selection which in this video, against pommy defences looks good. These two attributes are exactly what we have been missing for a long time.

I think he can be an experienced leader of the attack. His execution in the attacking zone will help finish off chances in the attacking 20. Something we missed badly last year.

He’s not a big flashy name but he will do the job required off him consistently well.

With canberra he was an ok 7 but that was 5 years ago.Not sold henis an nrl 7 5 years on, the SL form is pretty ordinary yardstick

i think if sezer is in the halves by the end of the year then we have had a poor year. I think by mid year halves will be Sullivan and fainu.

Id like to see Sullivan and Fainu there round 1. If they’re not better than Sezer they can’t be that good.

@avocadoontoast Yes there stronger / faster but they lack the main ingredient that is required in that position ATM .. experience and the capacity to organise the attack . These guys have ability but lack the old head !

That highlights reel may be only SL but there were plenty of short passes on the edge out wide that would have Ice getting excited about running on to. He was starved of that sort of service all 23 and made him look ordinary.

Also Sezer took on the line a lot more than we have seen of WT halves of 23.

He has to be an upgrade.

Anyone is better than Wakeham and Smith.

What the tigers need in the halves is someone to lead the team around. You can have all the flair in the world, but if you haven’t the smarts and direction. It’s game over!! Sezer is a must to start there, but we’ll see.

not only took the line on… but he’s very direct in his play. Not the sideways shit that Brooks did!!

Agreed. He’s an experienced player who can guide the team and lead. Unfortunately Luke is more of the supportive halve
