Well if that’s all the NRL are offering I would be forfeiting this weeks game against the Broncos .. this would be chaos for the NRL with the Tv rights deal no 2 points then again the following week . You either stand up to these imbeciles or you just continue being there door mat over to you Weststigers board !This was wrong and needs a strong stance..
So many things were wrong about that decision, but the thing that really bugs me is why was the bunker was talking in the ref’s ear after the whistle was blown? There was no reason to get involved and the game should have ended there. As for Feldt, soccer players would be proud of that effort.
Ok so it not black and white in the rules whether a challenge is permissible in those circumstance, but rather in the ‘spirit’ of the game. However the ‘escort’ penalty is a black and white interpretation of that rule despite the kick off being too deep for there to be any meaningful contest for the ball..
The inconsistencies in how the game is officiated is the real issue here. Take Maumalo’s sin bin. How is his high shot a sin bin but the high shot which leads to him being sent to HIA isn’t?
This leads to fans querying the integrity of the game. While I think nothing nefarious is at play here, the level of incompetence often leads people to draw such conclusions.
All I heard from Annesley was about being open and accountable but there will be no consequence of any kind for Klein.
Annesley was asked about this and admitted no decision had been made yet, will find out tomorrow
And then there’s this little stuff up as well. Makes you wonder why we have referees????
I'm fairly certain at one stage Tamou asked to challenge the offside and was told "it's already been looked at". Seems you can't challenge if the ref doesn't think it's going to work which is not his decision to make.

100% was said. Another nail in the coffin.

It's a terrible thing but I would actually support this. At some point you have to draw a line in the sand and say enough's enough.
What's the point of playing if points can be taken from you by decisions which are proven to be incorrect?
any talk of forfeit the nrl might look at booting us out and replaced by dolphins be careful
if they can rig a game they can punt us from the comp

Get Joel Caine to pull Sportsbet's NRL sponsorship for a few games...

Yep, that was my thoughts as well. Forfeiting would only help the NRL.
I think what Lee H said on nrl360 they want the transcript so that will be key did they stall ?

The idea is to get the audio and match it to the video, then decide whether they believe we have a leg to stand on regarding liability, compensation etc.

The ARLC is reportedly awaiting a full report of the events that took place during the Tigers and Cowboys’ controversial Round 20 clash — with a call yet to be made whether the result will stand.
According to The Daily Telegraph’s David Riccio, NRL bosses will analyse the report which is set to lay out all the facts surrounding the Bunker’s decision to award North Queensland a crucial late penalty.
NRL head of football Graham Annesley admitted Ashley Klein’s Bunker ruling was wrong, which could leave a window open for the ARLC to make a big decision in the Tigers favour.
“It’s interesting because it’s the ARL Commission who has asked for a full inquiry into what unfolded last Sunday,” Riccio said on SEN 1170.
“It’s the Commission who has asked for a full report from Graham Annesley, that’s any audio transcripts, audio itself and how this fiasco unfolded.
“The Tigers also want a copy of that investigation, they want to see how it was said and how it unfolded.
“The Tigers still think they have firm grounds here for the result to be annulled.”
It was also revealed Tigers’ captain James Tamou attempted to lodge his own challenge, spotting Valentine Holmes past the halfway line when taking the kick-off.
Tamou was denied the opportunity to lodge a captain’s challenge and now the commission are also looking into that factor.
“They’re now looking at several indiscretions,” Riccio said.
“That’s including Valentine Holmes standing offside at the kick-off, when the captain’s challenge was applied, why didn’t the video bunker have a look that the Cowboys players were onside at the kick-off?
“Video showed that Valentine Holmes was offside.”
Riccio also explained that the Tigers aren’t backing down, seeking a final result and a huge decision from the ARLC.

Former referees boss Michael Stone has described the farcical events after Sunday's Cowboys-Tigers game as the biggest "smother job" by league officials in over 30 years.
Stone, a grand final and State of Origin referee, couldn't remember a bigger fiasco since a little-known loophole in the rules cost St George a game in the early 1990s.
"I can't believe what I saw on Sunday and how the NRL then tried to cover its tracks," Stone said of the controversial finish in Townsville.
"It's a smother job, plain and simple - they are making up the rules as they go.
"It reminds me of a Dragons-Sharks game in around 1990 when (Dragons coach) Brian Smith asked officials if the ball was rolling near the deadball line and his fullback had a foot out of play and touched it, would it be a 20-metre tap. As the rules stood then - they were changed very quickly after the game - he was right, but when it happened on the field, the ref ordered a line dropout instead of a 20m tap - and of course the Sharks scored and the Dragons lost.
"Smith got his captain to lodge an official complaint on the field and all hell broke loose. The league went into damage control, made up a bunch of excuses and we are seeing the same here.
"When the referee blew the whistle on Sunday, the game was over - that's why he blew the whistle. The Cowboys jumped up and down and the referee didn't have a clue what to do so he went to the Bunker.
"Poor (Bunker referee) Ashley Klein had no idea and took the soft option of giving the Cowboys the penalty for a blatant dive… no common sense.
"For the NRL to say the game wasn't over and the Cowboys could launch a captain's challenge is pure fantasy. And they do admit they got the challenge wrong, it should not have been a penalty - it's a complete farce - sadly we have learnt little in over 30 years.
"I really couldn't believe what I was watching. I felt for the Tigers - they were dudded."
