If the "no team that has 50 scored against them can win the premiership" theory is correct, then what a great weekend this has been, IMO. Goodbye Roosters and Eels as eventual premiers. I'm happy with that.

Mind you, there's no certainty our WT will finish in front of either of them.

Hahahaha….yeah that’s made it a 15 team comp now for sure. Well we play the eels next round. Let’s see if the bounce back still exists?

I'm enjoying watching the transition of Jake Turbo into Alex Twal. Honest, whole-hearted but no longer a game changer (not that Alex ever was).

So, one team, Roosters, that had 50 put on them last weekend, puts almost 40 on the multiple defending champs the following week.

The other, Parra, take on the multiple wooden spooners, at home, in 37C heat on Sunday. And, WT are favourites with bookies?

I haven’t looked at the odds but I’d guess we’re not strong favourites nor should we be. If we are then the bookies are dopes. The conditions bring both teams into it as it’s so difficult to predict who will handle it better, who will dominate possession if not even & who will get through the game without injury, sin bin etc etc.

look at the back rower in this play, running an incredible line back towards the goalposts and holding up the sliding defenders. This creates the easy overlap to score in the corner that we never manage to achieve. Why is this not an option for our team? I understand that Seyfarth is not Nikora but he just needs to run hard and straight to attract the interest of the defender. Is lauchie not capable of just playing into a structure?

a great point you make but Seyfarth is simply not capable of playing that way.

not sure whether he’s not capable… but we need more players in motion out there today.
Today is up to our forwards to set a foundation to give our strike out wide a chance. And Tackle tackle tackle… it’s a simple game RL

see…. You don’t even need to run hard back at the post. Just be a somewhat credible option and the overlay comes

I always thought DCE was a t*rd. Now, I'm convinced he is. There's nothing genuine about the bloke other than pumping up his own ego tyres. IMO, Manly have shown him respect and he's shown them none. I'm not buying his BS. Not a bit.

I think there is an issue between him and Seibold...no surprise there. I have never been a fan of either of them, having said that the Manly leadership seem to kick a few own goals at times so it looks like they may have made a meal of his re-signing. The fairytale ending would be for him to go back home to the Dolphins, that way he can spin it as a homecoming to justify turning his back on the Eagles, however I doubt he would be turning his back on the northern beaches to spend his retirement in the thriving metropolis of Redcliffe, swimming in the murky waters of moreton bay. So my prediction is he has already been convinced by Uncle Nick to do a cooper gronk at the rorters. He really didn't need to be an asshole about it by kicking the fans and his teammates in the guts so early in the season.

manly have apparently told brooks he can look aound in 2027 if he can find a deal (last year of contract) dragons are smokey for brooks for 2027,
manly are going to go all in on galvin for 2027 when he is off contract and they can throw DCE money and potentially some of brooks at him if he can move on
