Speaking of Sullivan, that is an albatross of a contract. I hope there are clauses in it.
Defence is the best it’s been for years so JM is doing his job … the problem is the offence and here is the problem , it was always going to be the issue with a couple of assistants that have no experience! Benji needs assistance and the sooner that Richo employs a professional assistant specialising in offensive plays the better this is where it’s breaking down .
Agree but the other problem is we run the same plays as other teams. Set up to attack like other teams but we have worse players.
Really RL is becoming a sterile boring game. Most teams try and be like each other.
@kiwitiger Benji was not sterile in the way he played so there is no reason with he could not amp this up…watching lately league is becoming sterile try’s of kicks should be worth 2 points and the kick for goal 1 point only ! why reward a play that is all bounce of the ball .i feel the game is waiting for a coach to change the way the game is played has happened in the past and will happen again.
I know our execution wasn’t the greatest especially in crucial moments,but the one word I would choose would be OFFICIATION.
In the first half we were demonstrably winning the ruck in all facets.They were holding on for dear life,and persisted with the tactic and were permitted to.It was blindingly obvious yet nothing.The same to be said for their defensive line constantly jumping the gun where they did a pretty good job of neutralising the Galvin threat.This is before any mention of the Olam trip.
Sure,every referee has his own style but how is it the pea gets blown out of the whistle for weeks and then remains out of the mouth yesterday?The game demands a continuity and a standard of the players, surely in turn a certain standard and continuity from the adjudicators.Probably pointless,but rant over!

And 💯 api needs a break during games.@mike Hail Sezer think he has been one of the best onfield every game certainly surprised me .. the problem is everything can’t be expected from only a few players every game ..Api point in question they need help !

IMO we should nail and screw Sezers name to the number 7 position for the team. So far this season, he has been strong and more importantly he has been consistent. Very good defence, good kicking game and good effort. This club has chopped and changed for years in the halves and at this stage, Id be sticking with Sezer and Galvin in the halves and give the team a chance to gel around them. Having said that I am worried about losing Latu and where he fits in.
Sullivan, Im not as worried about.

@tiger5150 yes but I think Galven is our 7 moving forward. I think you’d find he had more touches than Aiden against the riff. And he won’t be here next year when Luiai playing 6 alongside him, with L Fainu at lock.

I was worried before the season started, after we signed Luai about the backlog on our halves and in particular what it means for Latu. Sulllivan exposing himself (genuinely mean that respectfully) has alleviated part of the problem and I have been happy with the slow way Benji has brought Latu through. Great idea to give him the time in first grade before the inevitable injuries to a 33yo Sezer. At some stage
At some stage I think we will see a Latu/Galvin halves pairing and Im confident they will carry it off which would be incredible to have to halves younger than 20yo......but against a red hot Brisbane is not the time.
