My 1st half word is ‘OWNED’. We were owned in the middle and Flegler was about best on field. Their defensive line speed was excellent and Api/halves couldn’t get going.
2nd half word is ‘ENCOURAGING’. We turned it around in the middle with Stef lifting and Seyfarth/Twal working hard, all playing big minutes. Fleggler off injured… Api’s 2nd stint much better. Very encouraging effort against adversity.

yeah I think it’s nice to see the team understand that if they stick in there even if you aren’t playing great you can still be in a position to win. We were within one converted try with 20 to go. In prior seasons we would have conceded before and after half time and let the game blow out. Now we stick solid and we had a chance to beat the team coming first
Drop your one word descriptions here please. Might need a word for first and second half (which I think I will do).

- @tigertownsfs It's looking like the only defence Sullivan can dominate is Tigers'23 standard and we haven't come up against anything as poor as that yet.
Posting this a bit late and maybe not of the right thread however there seems to be a common theme where teams that use and lose their challenges early will no longer get the 50/50 calls, my view is that the refs hate to be challenged and overruled so they feel safer ruling against the teams that can no longer challenge them. We need all the help we can get with the refs, so Benji should be telling the team that absolutely no challenges in the first half unless the call is an obvious howler, and even then use it as motivation and practice on the mental and physical challenge of lifting when things go against you. In the last 20 challenge to your hearts content.
Interesting view. I will definitely take note watching future games.Posting this a bit late and maybe not of the right thread however there seems to be a common theme where teams that use and lose their challenges early will no longer get the 50/50 calls, my view is that the refs hate to be challenged and overruled so they feel safer ruling against the teams that can no longer challenge them.
