After seventeen attempts, Wests Tigers have finally won three straight NRL games again.
This is a feat we haven't achieved for about eight years, and we did it in style, beating the high-flying Newcastle 42-22. No one is more pleased about the three-in-a-row achievement than our own Jordan Prime. Jordan has been carrying that monkey on his back for a few years now, and he pops up on this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast as a very relieved man! Joel, Nick, and Declan also take a deep dive into this afternoon's big win at Campbelltown, including some key talking points such as:
- The two-try performance of Jahream Bula
- Jeral Skelton's brainsnap!
- What to do with the halves with Luai back next week?
- Twal, another amazing performance
- The dominant display from our whole forward pack
Also up for discussion was the great start to the game made by the boys, a big change to the come-from-behind results in recent weeks. While the somewhat lacklustre end to the game also falls under the microscope. There's also plenty of great 'One Word' submissions from the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum. I was just recalling the game when Adam come back a few years ago against the raiders and he played in the centres. However he had a roving type role and got into first and second receiver role. Put a few spirals up that game too, along with the length of the field try. Hopefully AD can swallow some pride and play some centre because I think Madden is key for us.
Hunt was most impressive today. See him chase Dom Young with a minute to go. That was all effort.
All this meaningless talk of a Hybrid player is ridiculous.. Madden has to play 7 he is the only true 7 this club has had since Prince .Honestly this garbage about AD training at 7 in the offseason is laughable who has been the 7 over the last three wins and played top shelf .. who was Laui’s 7 at Penrith where he played his best footy Cleary an organising a kicking 7 . The team has found the missing link and it’s not Hybrid AD!

True, but what do you do with Doueihi?

This week I would actually look at resting AD. He looked to be struggling at teams last weekend, and a rest surely would not hurt?
Long term it is a conundrum. Benji has shown his hand that he's selected AD to play at 7 this season and I would be very surprised if he changes his mind on that. He's also mentioned Jock as being signed for back-up and that being the case, give AD the rest he looks like needing and allow Jock to do what Jock does for another week.
Next year who knows what our halves will be, but for this year I think the die is cast.
