@plundermonkey Great post you only have to look what assistant coaching talent sits in the the coaches box of all the top clubs . I do agree I think Benji has the right stuff to be a good head coach but unfortunately has been left to fail with his assistants. Farah should never have taken that roll on but that’s Farah ! Benji needs to be tough and remove these two assistants otherwise his tenure of head coach will be short lived.
I wanted to see Naden come good, however i am now at a point where he needs to go, and staines with him. they run sideways when they should straighten up dont pass when they should and vice versa, it happens over and over again. Their defence is woeful, that first try by Bostock was up on the big screen for all to see about 30 seconds before it happened, staines could have easily shut him down and he barely touched him.....just not good enough and he has been in first grade long enough to be better so he is not capable and has to go. I just listened to the podcast and agree that Bud and Galvin need to be using our forwards better close to the line....we are always going for the crash play and not setting anything up...there is no plan to compress or scatter the defensive line and take advantage in the next play...its either we score this play or try again on the next....its maddening to watch.
Where has it ever been said that Farah is the coach for attacking tactics? I may well have missed it somewhere but, in fairness to him as a genuine WT legend, I don't want to be part of a Farah pile-on if it's not his job.
Attack is Farah’s job. Morris is defence. Benji oversees both.Where has it ever been said that Farah is the coach for attacking tactics? I may well have missed it somewhere but, in fairness to him as a genuine WT legend, I don't want to be part of a Farah pile-on if it's not his job.
@mike Well, that explains a lot. I thought Farah was more interested in becoming CEO than an assistant coach.
