@the-last-ronin Benji has not done the right thing here Re Api.. IMO the coaching around this has been poor . This is an average roster and you can not rely on one player to create everything , the offence offers nothing and this only highlights how ineffective the coaching has been . Simpkin is a solid player without being brilliant and there is no reason why he can not play extended minutes off the bench to give Api a breather. The sooner Latu is fit enough for extended minutes the better , I feel Sezer / Galvin and Latu should be all on the park together with Simpkin on the bench how this will work that’s up to the coaching staff …

Take out the two games against last years GF teams and we are averaging 18 points a game and winning 2 from 5. Hardly end of the world throw the toys out of the cot stuff.
Sezer has been one of our best up until the last two weeks.
For the last few years we have lamented that the club cant stick to a plan. The club finally puts together a decent spine that (outside of the games against the NRL powerhouses) has had us competitive and we have calls to throw the plan out after 7 games.
I think Tigers fans have some sort of advanced memory loss.
Sezer’s primary role in the team is kicking. The difference between the Cronulla game and the Broncos game was stark, Sezer kept the sharks coming off their tryline set after set.
The reason why the attack is so focussed on Api at 9 is because he is our best and most consistent attacking weapon. Sezer has never been a primary ball player, and Galvin and Fainu are total greenhorns who simply shouldn’t have primary ball playing responsibility shoved onto them just yet.
Today’s game will be interesting, because the attack won’t win us the game, our defence and discipline will. If we try and out score the dogs and win 36-30, we will probably lose. Try and win 14-12, and we’ve a good shot, doubly so given I think our forwards are simply better than theirs.

sezer was poor in the dragons loss too
his two best games were sharks game and parra game
as for latu we are playing him out of position he is not a 9, the guy is likely an nrl halves player but probably will not get a shot at it here due to Galvin on fire and Luai arriving next year.
I hope for his sake for his career he gets to play in the halves for a club, why should he have to change to a 13, I think a club will come knocking at some point if he doesn't get game time in the next 18 months in the halves.
Not saying he will be as good as Galvin or luai but the club shouldn't stand in his way end of 2025 if he hasn't got a shot in the halves
hope we get a better crowd today than the atrocious crowd that ruined up to Accor Thursday night for Penrith and souths
pretty confident today, expecting a big game from klemmer and Stef and Bateman to have a good game and be involved in everything, wet weather is his type.of game
