daine Laurie to 6 perhaps ?
I think it’s worth a shot. We know what Brooks and Wakeham combo looks like. We don’t have an organising half in the club so may as well go for X factor
Id prefer wakeham than Laurie. He hasn’t responded well to his relegation and from the little I’ve seen of him in a play making role, it hasn’t impressed.
I’ve never seen him at 6 but I’ve seen Brooks and Wakeham together and I’d rather look at something else.
maybe we can pick up a half over the bye
Could it be a possibility that the Tigers try and get Adam medically retired.
I think this is the second or third time his done his ACL on the same knee, surely it couldn’t be good for his mobility short term/long term where’s the duty of care by the NRL in cases like this.

I don’t think it’s good for him but I doubt he would want to retire. The way he did it was so innocuous that it’s a big concern

Tragic for douhie if confirmed he has torn his left ACL for the third time. Given he only had a contract for next year it will really make it unlikely he is the 6 under Benji. The guy has got real talent but is not the complete player you need to play 6 in NRL at this point. Thought this was his best game for a long time.
maybe he will reinvent himself as a centre or 13 but the relatively innocuous circumstances of his injury this time makes me very worried.
my guess is that this increases the odds that we see Brooks extended for 2024 at least. In the 2nd half when he stepped back from first receiver and played wider he looked much more dangerous than in the first half when he just shuffled the ball wider without engaging the line. If sheens has given up on wakeham then My hope is that we manage to get extract a genuine half from KOE or QRL over the bye and play brooks at 6 but it will never happen. I would kill for Hastings/brooks 7/6 at this point.
@skippa13 to be honest we have more chance of scoring a try from halfway , than we do from inside the 20.
I don’t know why we don’t just kick to the corners on the last inside the 20.
We always seem to die with it in the corner .

I don’t think they score those last 2 tries as easily as they did if we keep AD , and Naden on the field .
It really sux for AD , as I’ve been a huge critic of him defensively, and he really put his shoulder into his defence and just Looked really confident in his body , if that makes sense .
He always played like he was protecting himself , or not confident or unsure of how big he actually was .
We can’t catch a trick I swear ! Did Tim sheens give sell his soul for the 05 premiership .
Because some of the bounces and decisions and injuries , just look like there’s a hex on this team .
Our coach HAS to register himself for an nrl contract!!!😅😂😅🤣😅😂😅🤣😅😂🤣😅😂😅🤣😅😜😂😅😅🤣😜😅😅😜🤣😅😅😂😜😂😅😜😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅daine Laurie to 6 perhaps ?
You keep saying this but you are talking about a guy who hasn’t played any football since 2021 and even then he was playing off the bench. He is 37/38 years old. It’s one thing to run a few plays at training it’s another to play week in week our NRL. How would Benji playing help out club at all?
Confirmed Adam’s done his ACL on the same knee
Oh wow that is terrible news. I was hopeful it wasnt ACL because he walked off. Poor bloke.
Guys and girls, I'm hesitant with agreeing with the early prognosis of Nado's and AD's injuries.
With Nado they are saying possible broken collarbone. Usually a collarbone breaks if your whole body weight bares down on the hand or even elbow. There's no doubt to whether it's broken because it sticks out like dog's b and it's hard to your raise your arm. I saw Nado raise his arm and he was ushering his support hand to around his back.
He actually fell on his shoulder blade which is a quick way to dislocate his shoulder but once again this is easily diagnosed and usually put back in after a local or snort of the whistle.
I'm leaning to a rotator cuff injury. 4-10 depending of severity of tears to the ligaments.
With Adam as soon as he injured his knee he grasped the area of the lateral co-lateral ligament. He was also able to weight bare so that's what I'm hoping. This could be a better outcome than ACL, I'm hoping 4-6 weeks but also depends on the extent of tear/s.
If I'm wrong on both counts please be gentle 🤣

- That was quick, apparently it's confirmed ACL by Tigerlily 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Just got home from the game......
Obviously our problem is the halves. In that first half we are completely rudderless in attack inside the 20m and no one with the skills or balls to grubber in the ingoal. Two plays summed it for me. In the first half, on the last Doueihi floats a slow pass out to the winger with no extra man and he gets belted and wrapped up, then early in the second half, on the last Brooks passes it to Papali'i to kick on the last. I know its not a massive insight, but Brooks confidence is completely gone. Doueihi has the confidence but not the ability. Doueihi made a few very good runs, that are valuable but zero playmaking ability and passes so slowly. Doueihi is the eternal riddle wrapped in puzzle wrapped in an enigma. Probably needs to be picked, but where? Doueihi's kicks on the last in the second half were much better. AD didnt have a bad game, a long way from some worse games he has had this year, but his passing game is terrible. Absolutely terrible for AD to suffer that injury.
Also terribly frustrating that we kept going to our right side in attack in the first half when in their 20. Didnt try our left side once from memory.
Im going to say something controversial here, but in the second half, when we clawed things back a bit, I think Brooks got a bit of his confidence back and that is the first time this year Ive seen him running a little straighter and fast and passing outside their centre. He actually looked dangerous and a good combination with AJ & Junior. He even had the confidence to put that beautiful grubber across field for a force drop out. That penalty goal would also have given him confidence. I know it has been a constant cop out for Brooks about his confidence, but at the game, to me it really looked like something clicked for him in that second half.
at the game, we had Parra on the ropes in that second half and should have beaten them. That Staines dropped drop out killed us. We should have won, but stupid errors killed us, again.
Tupou was fantastic, Staines solid other than that drop. Entire pack was strong. Naden was good, Kepaoa good.
