@the-last-ronin I recall from the commentary on channel 9 last nightGus Gould said, its amazing how many tries are scored when the ball hits the ground. My thought was that we should have scored 5 tries by then as they seemed to pass the ball to no one or behind the players more often than it went to hand.
Not a preferred attacking play.
yep. If we could actually run the plays fluently we’d probably score more points. We just look a mess when trying to run attacking plays.
I hate being negative regarding players however Twal at 7 would have won us that game. Wakeham's defence is absolutely awful and his end of set plays are not much better. Talau cost us at least 3 potential tries. Those 2 need to be dropped from this team asap. Wakeham should have been dropped weeks ago and "anyone else" put in his position he may give us a couple of scoring opportunities however is less than a speed hump in defense.could add Bula, Laurie to that listI actually felt we were in control of that game from the point that Sloane was sin binned but we couldnt put it to bed through incompetence of Wakeham and Talua predominantly .
Not in the game I watched. Was impressed with Laurie tbh, particularly defensively and his passing game was good. he looked head and shoulder above Wakeham. Bula looked dangerous regularly.
I agree that Wakeham was the difference between a win and a loss. He was awful, which is about at his usual standard. I was waiting for Wakeham to be replaced and Api to be moved to 7 and work with Da Silva at 9. But, no. Didn't happen. And, it may have made no difference. But, it seemed to be pretty clear that Wakeham was stifling any chance of a win, IMO.I hate being negative regarding players however Twal at 7 would have won us that game. Every week I feel the team is well short of a sum of their parts. This team has been really poorly constructed, and is really poorly coached.
I actually ran into Wakeham & Alex S. at Belmore last weekend (my little one was performing during half time) & had a quick chat with them. This was the day after the Newcastle game & I believe they were there to see Grub at his last game. Both seemed pretty devastated about how we’re going especially Brandon who just seemed down on confidence. I reckon they were bracing for an earful but I just said to keep their heads up & work hard, they both appreciated the support. Saw Klem as well but didn’t get a chance to talk to him, he’s huge!
I really hope we just keep plugging away, compete for everything & the tide will turn.
@greatodensraven I agree we’ll keep plugging away but that’s just about it though. We’re just making up the numbers I’m sorry guys,
Absolutle pish.
NO WAY THIS TEAM EVEN PRACTICES RUGBY LEAGUE.
Get off my tele !

@lorenzo benji at 55yrs old is better than slowkham. I don't enjoy being a jerk to my own players but we have some special needs level talent in the black orange and white.
