I've done the usual gift shopping for those I love, as always unsure if I chose well. I could have just waited, as I usually do, to look for inspiration, but I didn't.
Then I stumbled upon this opinion piece from Malcom Knox in SMH online published today 23/12.I love his writing on cricket and other sports; so smart, so perceptive, so thought provoking. Brilliant journalism, IMO. Something we so sorely lack but need more than ever as 2023 draws to a close.
But, it wasn't about sport. It was about something so much more fundamental and future defining for our nation if we're smart enough to read it, think about it, share it, and act upon it if it resonates with us.
I'll be doing exactly that; sharing it with family and friends. I don't expect they will all feel about it the same way that I do. Nor, others on here. And, I don't care really.
But, IMO, it needs to be read and considered carefully.
