Some very bad luck with the calls and some bad bounces, but execution at crucial moments let us down. Was a very winnable game.
Saukuru is an enigma. Very threatening with ball in hand, but can't tackle to save his life. Unless he sorts that part of his game out, he's not going to have much of a career
One word: Taumololo. He was the difference. The frustration with the refereeing is understandable. But for the constant follow of penalties for the Cowboys the Tigers would have had much more attacking ball given how poor the Cowboys handling was.
But all that said, Taumololo’s second stint swung it back to the Cowboys. He gave them the shot they needed to get on top, and swung the game.
Overall a decent effort from the boys. Would have liked to see more inventiveness in attacking areas. Lots of good ball in the Cowboys 20 went nowhere.
Saukuru is a handful in attack but his defence is dogshit. He needs to get that sorted or he becomes a liability.
The refereeing was at best inconsistent. We hung in there with a chance for at least 60 minutes. Saukura did show his defensive deficiencies and red zone was once again a headless rabble.
If there is a silver lining, Galvin will not be playing finals. 😀
