@joel The fix was on and HBG didn’t like it so blew the place up ….got rid of the guy that could get the job done . We have to realise this is exactly were HBG wants the Tigers , they want the club to fail and are doing everything to achieve there goal . The franchise needs to be sold and the NRL need to step in and take the franchise away from HBG that’s the only way the Weststigers will survive as the owners have no interest !
Managed decline.

@mac_tiger No7 next week ! Onwards with this young fella building for next season . In two weeks to 5/8 and Latu to 7 for the remainder of the season .
Who will decide when that time comes? It's already untenable, surely. Will there be any ramifications from this?
What ramifications can there be? We've gone all-in on Benji, so he's safe. We've got got no more than 17 first-grade players at the club, so you can't really drop anyone. We're just a shambles of an organisation, and we'd be better off folding
Yeah, I hate to say it but I have serious doubts we have the people with the attitudes and the smarts to fix this club.
There’s a very real chance we just keep this cycle going until it becomes totally untenable.
The rookie coach is not up to it. He needs to be replaced.
He talks of "standards" but clearly can't enforce them. Whatever the coaches are trying to instil in the squad is being ignored or is beyond the players' capacity to understand or deliver.
Each of the other "bottom" teams is showing signs of improvement while the Tigers cop floggings on a weekly basis.
Something has to give.
It's disgraceful.
@mercy-rule Marshall’s coaching career will be defined on Monday ! Credibility is everything AD gets the upper hand Marshall’s done !
One word - Javon. He’ll be a target for plenty of other clubs.
In what way? 😂
In all the wrong ways I suspect. He’ll have loads of defensive work to do in the short term, a well known commentator will start fluttering his eyelids in the medium term, and a bunch of clubs will be trying to sign him.
@joel I don't think I have any words this week. There is not a single shred of pride or professionalism left in this 1st grade outfit. I'd rather they forfeit the remaining matches than continue to gouge time & money from long-suffering supporters! They fail to bring any joy to people's lives anymore (unless you're a hater).
Some awful stats. Kick metres the only stat better than theirs, Twal only forward over 100 metres, Turuva 32 metres, Luai and Javon missed 12 tackles between them. Javon made 32 tackles which suggests their coach understands what a game plan looks like.
One word - standards. We’ve heard a lot about them. Easy to say, hard to uphold. Harder still to spot in Canberra this afternoon.
The coach is a rookie who surrounds himself not with the best assistants but with assistants he can trust. That’s a problem.
Standards are a function of strong culture, professionalism, a clear strategy and good tactics.
It’s easy to imagine that early in the season, all these ingredients were present. But were they? Maybe like 2005, we just got lucky.
Because when adversity arrived, the team’s defence reverted to type, the attacking flair of early season was packed away and points dried up. The mental fragility we have seen so often reappeared.
Today most of the Tigers tried hard, but they were unable to overcome their recent defensive struggles. The officiating was ordinary, but it doesn’t explain why the team was lapped.
Today’s team shows how conservative Benji rushes to change and then over-corrects. Andrews played on his non preferred side, showed some moments in attack but has some big defensive frailties. Herbert, Roberts, Api, Seyfarth, Samuela and Hayward all tried hard. Others in the team put in efforts that ranged from listless (May, Turuva) to frantic (Luai, Bula).
Two wins from 12, a 6 game losing streak, a 15th consecutive season not making finals in a competition where nearly half the teams make them. Substandard!

Very true. Andrews should have been on the left.

This club will be a laughing stock in some shape or form, until the owners take an interest in sporting success.
The whole operation is underfunded and thus lacking in sufficient experience and resources to achieve menial competence, let alone sustainable high performance.
Probably the easiest one worded for today and that’s predictable. Not sure what team gets picked next week. But maybe it should have Andrews and Madden in the halves.
