I have a feeling we’ll see Laurie at 9 this week for a short period in attack. It may work, he is quick and elusive around the ruck but someone else will need play there in defence.

This is a fantasy football team rather than a proper nrl team. The bench covers for every injury scenario conceivable, but lacks any real impact. Who knows what it will look like come kick off. Wouldn’t surprise me to see noffa and talau (centre, 5/8?) starting and the entire backline reshuffled.

I was really disappointed with Laurie’s run off the bench last game (think it was the dogs?), although to be fair he was only brought into the game in the last 5mins. Will be interesting to see how they use him for this game.

Nice to see Bula though. I haven’t seen him play so it will be good to see if he has talent

@loganr21 manly might have played there GF last week at battle of brookvale

@tigerlily wouldn’t we get dispensation because of our injuries ?

@eastiemagpie defend him at 6 and move brooks into the middle ?

Well done to young Bula, would be great if it was the start of a long and successful career with us.

I'm excited by this team - as it at least shows the coaches and trying things. At this stage, I'm happy to sacrifice the bench, in order to test combinations in the spine.

But hopefully they land on the spine in the next couple of weeks - and move forward with a bigger bench.o

Bula -  should be put long term fullback - the coaches now need to give him a good spell in the role. Also I hope they have signed him up long term

TT - I'm glad to see him named, surprised its on the bench not at centre in place of Toa. Could come on to play 13, 2nd row or centres.

Laurie - I assume he's there to replace one of the halves? Putting Brooks on notice?

Hopefully a team that can put on some points. 

Blore and Matamua - would like to see them in the team - in leui of Twal and Laurie

Also I'm still hoping Rua can get fit and take that 14 spot by end of the year

Nothing has been stated officially from what I've seen.

But I hope so - if not we are putting him in the shop window for some other club to sign him. 

Hopefully we have him wrapped up long term - along with Junior, Pole, Matamua, Blore & Rua

@mike It looks like Bula has taken the 30th spot mike. I can't think of anything else.

I do worry about the lad being thrown into the deep end. I can only pray that we don't wreck this lads career and the boys rally around him

Can anyone remember if Benji played reserve grade before NRL debut? I think he played in 04 didn't he. I'm just trying to get a similarity between Bula and Benji.

We've been throwing our talent away of late. Hopefully we don't do the same for the better ones.
