Interesting from the other forum

After 2 rounds the Wests Tigers are:

4th in posession %
1st in line engaged
5th in line breaks
3rd in tackle breaks
2nd in all metres.
2nd in all runs.
3rd in dummy half runs
1st in offloads.

Last on the ladder though

And how are we placed in completed sets, unforced errors and giving away penalties? It almost seems like if we can cut out the simple negative stuff we do truly have a platform we can work off.

@tiger5150 that is the depressing part.

Do think an understrength Melbourne is very beatable.

As for the dogs if we push through the forwards and some passes stick you never know

As for Brisbane they will put 50 on us

our record in Brisbane

Just bought my tickets to the broncos game. Have been to the last few against the tigers, so I assume I’m the lucky charm. Tough thing is that my daughter is a broncos fan so I have dial down the chirp when we’ve won (something I’m not overly good at). Think she might have me this year though…

I’m liking the look of our forwards this week even with the absence of IP.I do believe Fonua Pole is going to have a huge bearing on this game as well as the inclusion of Sean Blore.
I believe we have to simplify the game plan a tad,get some momentum going, stand a little deeper before we start moving the ball and generally stop trying to create miracles on every play and thereby reduce the margin for error.
I see this game as highly winnable.

@jirskyr most of the errors are under 8's like catch and pass etc. I am sure it will click at some point. Dogs are no certainty on sunday

A few of those stats come as a consequence of having the majority of possession. I think the Titans and Knights scrambled well.

The heat is very much like the wet, depends which teams handle the conditions best. Probably means greater emphasis upon completions and kicking.
Just in regard to the stats you posted I really think we miss a player who has that X factor. We’re solid enough but missing that one guy who gives you that edge you want. I doubt many teams we oppose say “We’ve go to limit his opportunities”.

@russtutty63 so hopefully our coaches realise this and we tone back our attacking strategies of rd1 and 2

Bateman to second row. Blore to the bench. That’s how I think they will run out.

think they may have Api, AD, Brooks, wakeham all on at once during the game with AD playing some lock

wish they would just play wakeham/douhie halves and put brooks into 9 so we can see how that looks.

@tigertownsfs don't particularly want Brooks at 9 and don't really want Douihie at 6. Do think all 4 need to be on the field though.

Also think Douihie can play the 13 role Sheens wanted Hastings to do
