He seems to be quicker of the mark than DL. This is needed to catch up with the break or to try and beat a player on the outside. Got to remember that Charlie hasn't had much of a go at the back that Daino has.I don't think Staines is a fullback, but he is probably the best option we have in the squad atm.
If we can get our act together in the halves he may get better.
Kind of appropriate at present

I agree he is quicker, but he doesn't have a passing game and is quite panicked at times. I don't think he is the long term solution.

we have no long term solution at 1,6, or 7. That’s 3 out of 4 key positions we are scratching our heads in with no clear junior coming through.
Bula is out injured I believe. Not sure what the issue is.
Feledy is still playing Flegg at this stage - playing up a level as he's still SG Ball eligible I think?
"Every game is winnable" but that saying doesn't apply to us, but "I believe in miracles" is closer to the mark. Its eminently winnable.....we wont of course, but it is....

Top 8 2023
I was just looking at the ladder and we pose a lonely figure right down the bottom. Suddenly that regular 9th place that we had a stranglehold on seems to be a pretty good result now that there are 17 teams.
One thing I'm sick of is the Wests Tigers being a springboard for other teams and players to be successful.
Tomorrow we are taking on the Eels and if they win they could make a charge because they have a pretty good schedule coming up.
We have a bye coming up so a win tomorrow will be a boost to moral. (I hope the players know the song)
We have to build up something special in the break because the Panthers are going to test us.
@crowsnest newcaslte have had a pretty good run when you look at it
They have beaten us raiders and warriors and drawn with Manly. They will get 50 put on them against Penrith next week.
long way to go this season, think we will avoid the spoon

Yep gotcha mate, I'm not advocating the spoon just yet.
I'm saying in the context of the season, tomorrow is vital. A win plus the bye to freshen up and plan for an assault. It could breathe some confidence back into a lifeless unit.
