We are the dreaded favourites for this game. I don’t know how a team who has “won” three wooden spoons, lost 6-7 in a row and last week missed 60+ tackles gets the favouritism. Says a lot about parra at the moment. If we lose, however, the knives will be out and the media will be all over us (and Galvin)

I just listened to the pod and Eddie said pretty much the same thing, whoops! Great minds…
have not watched the game yet, however judging by the score against a full strength Dolphins team our performance against the Knights may not have been completely terrible. And is fletcher sharpe the 2025 Lachlan Galvin. Gus and the other NRL pundits may have another player to gush over...Lachy better seriously think about locking an extension in.
@lorenzo Sharp is a couple of notches up from Galvin at this point.
Re Dolphins, that was a very Wests Tigers-like limp and sluggish performance.

A predicted 37C on Sunday at Parramatta. If the concerns about WT's fitness others noted after Rd 1 are true, then we could be in strife. As will Parra, of course, if they have to do too much defending. Let's hope they do!
Agree with that based on this year but Lachie was terrific last year for the most part anyway. Put Ponga in our team and I’m sure the rest of the guys will look better especially the spine players.@lorenzo Sharp is a couple of notches up from Galvin at this point.

Sharpe is quick & backs up well especially through the middle. Ponga does a lot of the stuff a 6 might, maybe he plays like a 6 and a 1.have not watched the game yet, however judging by the score against a full strength Dolphins team our performance against the Knights may not have been completely terrible. @helmesy Sharp is a better player no doubt.. Galvins pace and willingness to crab across the field is his weakness , Sharp on the other hand is fast and plays direct , Galvin wants to be careful in his negotiating for his future . I would have Latu at 6 in a second !
Im pretty sure your favourite ex tigers winger got peppered last night by Ponga 🤪@lorenzo Sharp is a couple of notches up from Galvin at this point.

Jnr looked overweight and unfit
Glad to see the back of him!

Is anyone worried about the conditions on Sunday & how it will affect the performances of Pole & Hunt? Both play a high impact kind of game but can get fatigued pretty quickly. Pole can also get found out in defence once he’s been out there for a while. Obviously Terrell & Twal will be asked to play good minutes but at 36 or 37 degrees it’s a huge ask for them. I don’t think there’s much alternative besides maybe starting Sione at 13 and Terrell & Twal up front. Or do we simply stick with same rotation as last week and hope Pole can deal with the heat ok?
This is the first game in a long time where I would only swap 4 players with our opposition and 2 are centres a prop and the other a second rower.

Yes, but the Eels have some big boys too.
