Suncorp Stadium .... home ground #4?

Another big pack of forwards to contend with. It seems every game carries that same level of importance for us, ie it is a must win for us to keep in contact with, if not even moving into, the top 8. Influence of 3 consecutive spoons.

Meanwhile Panthers languish at the bottom and Ivan says the table doesn't even count until August. Influence of 4 consecutive premierships.

We won the pressure/home/milestone game last week. Time to win the game we are “meant” to win this week

@tigertownsfs I just refuse to get to excited ,suppose it’s just failure and mediocrity burn out after all these years !Just waiting for the wheels to realign then fall off . Have been very impressed with how the team has a desire to win which has not been evident for a decade . A finish of 10th or above for me would be a successful season as it shows that there is definitely a path forward coupled with a few top line signings … For me it’s just being competitive each game but  now a higher percentage for a win ,this week it’s there to have but this is the Tigers after all .

My concern is we are favourites with the bookies....not by much though.

I would play Latu at 7 in NSW cup. He looked the best for us at first receiver playing 13. Luai looks best playing 2nd receiver/5/8. I want Latu 7/luai 6 to be our long term pairing. If that means we play Luai 7/Galvin 6 for the rest of 25 im fine with that (and then take Olakuatu in return for Galvin in 26)

I just made the same comment on the Latu discussion, wait till we have injuries, suspensions or SOO and bring Latu in and it will be up to him to cement his place.....let it happen naturally, forcing it puts us at some risk in the Galvin contract situation.

I want to know if latu is our future halves partner for luai. Only one way to find that out.

I think we all do, however I don't want to devalue any potential swap we can get for Galvin, if we drop him we either play into his managers and the RLPA's hands, or we indicate to other teams he is surplus to requirements, and we need to get rid of him to take away all the noise. I don't want to move him to center as we have that covered, I don't want him at 13 as his defense is rubbish and completely unsuited to the middle. I think there were some signs in the sharks game in defense and attack that Galvin is not 100% committed and it may become more apparent once the spotlight moves away from him. He was not the usual energizer bunny he has been. maybe if AD or Toa are injured you push him out to center and bring Latu in....however will he cop that or kick stones. He is the one that said he is giving us plenty of notice to sort out our future, so can't really complain if we do just that.

that is not too bad,  Staines is a safe pair of hands to have come up when needed
