I’m still unsure how you play Latu in the 17. You could argue he starts on the bench with Twal starting 13 and then you bring him on after 20min once the game opens up a bit similar to how we are using TDS but that would mean bench of Latu, TDS, Bird and Hunt. Hunt snd TDS both play short minutes so you really put a lot of pressure on May, Pole and Twal to play massive minutes.

Latu actually looked very nice straightening the attack and he is a run threat so I can see how he adds a lot of interest as a 13 but it seems like a luxury we can’t afford

I’d honestly go with Latu at 6 and Galvin on the bench against the broncos. We’re going to need points against the Bronx I reckon.

Why did cockstad stay on the field ‼️‼️‼️‼️Marshall don’t hold back next time or we we will be shafted all year.

Roster ….put simply that’s the issue ! The forwards are nowhere near big enough to compete with the top teams ,the backs are short of centres with punch and there is obsoletely no depth  in the current top 30 .Until the roster is balanced out I fear bottom 4 is the finishing mark this season.

@tigertownsfs Latu has to be in the 17 and 13 is his spot IMO …do not see the issue all hands on deck ,Twal is the 13 at present that speaks for itself he can go back to the bench .

poor referring tonight that was a shocking penalty at the end and CNK was able to on the field and not go off for hia

we had heaps of injuries and patched up team, warriors were not great but not really a bottom 4 side either

I thought Warriors played really well, which only adds merit to such a close and unlucky loss by our boys, given injuries and dodgy ref calls.

@teddy_s I am not one to get on the blame the ref but the laying in the ruck all night was an issue and probable a Bin was required at some stage .. that last penalty was unfortunate but that was the bunkers call .

live it looked like they were allowed to lay all over us by the ref tbh

given the injuries we played well, Fataape took some tough catches

think we need to by taylyn may asap for centre, if Galvin does leave i am not too worried as Jarome Luai and Latu Fainu would do a good job and perhaps we go and buy a gun second rower or 13

I would play galvin at 13 against broncos

however

I am concerned luai gets a week for the shoulder charge ?

if he doesn't

7. Luai

6. fainu

13 galvin

galvin is the bigger body he should be playing 13 and the yeo type role for penrith

however i don't think Pappa Galvin or Isaac would be too keen

Not a fan of moving Galvin to 13, his defense is very ordinary, esp first contact, gets dominated and very rarely completes a one on one tackle unless its after losing first contact and then coming back and completing a legs tackle from behind. He is also the half that kept us in the game! Against big forward packs I would be playing Twal at 13 for the first stint, then bring Latu on when the forwards are tiring to slice and dice them up the middle. I would then reverse this against teams that have a less dominant forward pack so he helps get us on the front foot early, we have given up an early try in most games this year so this is really an area of concern that needs to be addressed.

What we really need, and I would be willing to sacrifice Galvin to get this type of player, is a dominant forward in the mold of Tino F or Payne H. Tyrell is good and delivers great defense and consistent attack, yet he is not an x factor forward that completes big hits in defense and skittles defenders in attack all while playing big mins.

The combination of the Douehi injury and the Sam Fainu injury at the worst time interchange wise lost us the game last night.

So my one word is Injury Chaos

Team played bloody well outside of that. Seyfarth what a performance MOM for us without a doubt

Playing Galvin at 13 for the first time against the Broncos would be a huge mistake. They would absolutely wreck him in the middle

Luai will miss at least one week. I don’t think we can do with a spine of under 21s against Brisbane (when Api is off). I’m hoping Api plays 80 and then I would consider douhie at 7 to balance galvins over confidence and Latu at 14 to sub and push douhie out later in the game if needed.

Agree. I think he’s a genuine 13.
