Much more aggression in defence..promising at times in attack ..a lot to build on with combinations more time together..

Much improved defence generally. Looked strong in D in the middle unless broken play. Their two tries were soft, Gildart needs to learn to count.
Tuilagi will be a star, Very disappointed to lose him,
LL is putting in and looked great.
Better than solid from Hastings. Might have convinced me already.
Gildart surprised me in attack, in a good way.
Even Roberts looked like a first grader tonight.
I thought Jacob lidDELL played well in the first half and probably saved his first grade spot (pending injury) but Rua has the best service from DH. I think Simpkin will be in trouble in the squad.
Pack looked strong and FINALLY Musgrove stood up and showed some ticker.
Tentatively optimistic. The team we saw tonight will not come last. Lets see if that team turns up most weeks.

Something I havent seen mentioned but was one of the most pleasing things I saw was players pushing up in support through the middle. Brooks, Hastings, lidDELL, Laurie. That never happened last year and happened a few times tonight. Encouraging.

Rua not in top 30 at this stage so can't be picked.
I believe Tuilagi has already signed the deal with the Sea Eagles.

Across the park,so many positives to draw from that performance.At 8-0down we were finding it difficult to cross the line but we didn’t drop our intensity and maintained high energy and urgency for 80 minutes.As a unit we seemed psychologically different and more composed.Perhaps the 5 captains for this particular team a beneficial move.
Was really pleased with our centres which has been our Achilles heel for so long,and particularly James Roberts who’s really tried his guts out over the last couple of years without fanfare.Looked every bit the part last night.
Our second row was phenomenal and big Lucy was best on ground.Toddy Payten’s acquisition doesn’t look like overs now.
I know one swallow doesn’t make a summer,but you have to like what is coming through the lower grades,we were deprived of seeing that due to COVID.Diamonds in the rough ready to shine!
