It's just not enjoyable watching my team anymore. And I hate it! 24 years of supporting the Tigers, many ups and downs, but I've never not enjoyed watching them play... Until now.
Some serious changes needed, and I'm not talking about the coach.

Couldn’t agree more. For years I’ve prided myself on not giving up on the team during tough patches. Refused to turn the game off or leave early when we were losing. But at the moment it is seriously not good for my health. It’s the worst it’s been since the 90s when we would get flogged by 50 each week by the rich teams. It makes me so angry and frustrated. Sometimes I think it’s only a game, don’t get so invested, etc, but then I hear it in the guys voices on the podcast and read it in comments like yours, everyone is hurting. We all deserve just a little bit of hope and enjoyment in a game, even if we lose.

If there were so many cap issues in his first 2 years why was he able to offer Latrell more than $1m a season at the end of his first season? He wasn't hamstrung by cap issues, he was hamstrung by no-one decent wanting to play for him and an inability to adapt his style to the players he did have.

I wouldn’t say Madge is a bad coach, he can coach. The players just didn’t respond to his methods and to make matters worse this is the roster he assembled. We need a coach with different methods and a communication style that this generation can understand.

The were playing above their ability. Just regression to the mean as the years rolled on. The last two weeks have shown unequivocally that the coach was never the issue. We won’t win another game this season.

With respect Mike, this is complete rubbish and 756,000% wrong. I am so angry with Madge right now and Im picking your post to make a point. Our "team" are so unfit they are actually gassed 20mins into the game and all intensity drops off and they are barely trying to hold on for the last 60 whereas EVERY opposition (even Bulldogs) in a professional NRL competition keep competing for 80mins. The Penriths and Storms attack at pace, defend in a straight rushing line for the whole 80mins. We are hands on knees after 20mins. Talent has nothing to do with fitness, the front office has nothing to do with fitness. If you are the coach of a squad with a little talent as our squad, what do you think would be the first thing you make sure is at 100%? Fitness so at least we can compete. We are more than halfway through the season for Gods sake. Its actually disgusting and its 100% on Madge.
Today our defensive line just wanders up in three of four "lines" all day. Our defence couldnt even hold a straight line, like you teach kids. Actually disgusting and again, not the fault of Pascoe or Lee...or Kimmorley. Madge had this team for 3.5years.
I was ambivalent about sacking Madge because he seemed to have his heart in the club, but today is his legacy alone and Im furious.

You can be angry all you like. Won’t change a thing. The coach was never the problem. The fundamentals are still the same and they’ll be the same for the next coach. We’ll be sacking whoever it is in three years time as well, along with Sheens.
The team for the first two years was never Maguire’s he had his hands tied. The last year and a half not much on the market in the way of what we needed. Only for 2023 did Madge start to sign players we needed and he wanted. Then you have the chair trying to force players to come here by getting them to sign a ‘Heads of Agreement’. The club is a joke and it’s not the coach. Heaven help whom ever will be the next coach because the club won’t. It doesn’t know how to.
You still have at least three players there that are from the boys club and will undermine anyone who doesn’t go along with them. And none of these three have ever played finals footy.

Mike, all of those things are superfluous.
Forget the Lee "Heads of Agreement" or Lee talking or not talking. If players wanted to be coached by Madge they would have come. they didnt. No player cares about the CEO or Chairman.
The fundamentals ARE still the same unfortunately and most of these fundamentals were Madges responsibility. Fitness, defensive fundamentals, etc etc etc.
