Wests Tigers Podcast 0114

wests tigers podcast

It’s a marathon edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast this week.

Join Eddie Otto, Declan McCutcheon, and Garry Watson for a full unpacking of the nightmare that was the Storm match.

Some tough questions are asked, including:

  • Is it time for a new Wests Tigers coach?
  • Who is to blame for the club’s seemingly endless on-field struggles?
  • Is it time for a club-wide review of operations and staff?
  • Can the 2021 season be retrieved after such a poor showing?

The boys also talk 2022 recruitment, including the pros and cons of reported targets Tavita Pangai Jnr. and Dale Finucane.

There’s also discussion around the continuing rule changes being implemented into the game by the NRL.

We hope you enjoy this mega edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast…

  1. Really enjoying the podcast guys. Hard to stay positive after a big loss but you guys are really balanced in your assessment. On the point about apportioning blame my breakdown is as follows:
70% Coach – experienced, high profile players aren’t rushing to play for Madge. Roberts and BJ are his two highest profile signings and both have been failures. If Madge can’t bring in players this summer he’ll be cleaning out his desk by Rd 10, 2022.
20% Admin – Winnning starts in the front office. Pascoe has been in the job 6 years and the number of talented players who have left in that time are a blight on his skills as an administrator.
10% Players – we have a promising crop of young players who just need games under their belt. If coach + admin can secure some experienced leaders to complement talent coming through we can turn it around sooner rather than later.
