As is the tactics that Madge has adopted. Finally....

You mean Madge finally has a leader on the field that can implement them. We haven’t had one for a very long time.

Quite possibly, but Im not sure we can credit Hastings for the numbers running supporting forwards, giving options and putting some indecision in the defence which Ive noticed the last two weeks. Also noticed that we are not fighting in the tackles as much and simply dropping to our knees quicker for the fast PTB.

I can. Being at the stadium for both wins Hastings is telling the forwards how, where and when to run. He calls them into position for defence and sees where we are short and makes the adjustment.  As well as doing the same for the backs. You only need to look at Twal as an example, Hastings is telling him when to run. Don’t know if it comes across on the TV but it is very obvious at the ground.

Toa is the best option at fullback -

I'm more worried about who replaces him at centre

That’s why I’d keep Toa at centre and send Nofoaluma to fullback. Jets due back after his usual week off, he goes to Nofa’s wing with Garner at right centre.

I don't want to see Nofa at fullback.

I don’t particular want him there either, but I’d rather he be there than O Gildart at left centre.

That is a good point.

You can still play Toa at fullback, without having Gildart in centres.

Just play Garner and Roberts in centres

Yeah but I wouldn’t be pairing Luke and Ken up to be honest. I really think Nofas nrl experience should get him a gig at 1 for the next month.

Moving ahead we must get combinations on our edges. By leaving Ken and Star together can only benefit later in season. Right side can be dealt with experience of Garner and Roberts and probably later with AD and Nofa.

Watch out for the bergs

I like your thinking.

Last night on Fox, Cronk re-played the lead up to Brooks' winning field goal. Hastings literally told everyone around him where to stand (including Luke) and told Liddle where to pass the ball.

He probably also got Joe to get in there for a fast play the ball, but they didn't show that.

That Hastings is averaging 90+ touches of the ball during a game might suggest he should still be given a lot of credit!
