Decision will only be judged a success if we sign a 'development coach' - Cilardo or Slater the only 2 options I'd be happy with
Any other coach is a step backwards.
Wouldn’t think Billy would work in Sydney
Sheens did speak very well tonight. We’re looking a bit more concise now.
What's a development Coach..?
Fair dinkum..It is just a bunch of PR corporate BS spin..
Do not buy it for 1 minute.. Sheens has always been a master of spin..All Sheens is doing is buying another 3 years of excuses
Wests Tigers need a winning Coach..period..
Re-build, Re-tweeking, Re-enginieering .. it's all the same we have heard for 10 years..
So much hysteria for a guy who took us from 9th to second last. His tenure was a complete disaster. Thank god we have Sheens in charge now.

We’ll get neither. They won’t be stupid enough to come to the Wests Tigers and end up being a Barrett.
3 finals in 22 years
5 coaches in 10 years
If players are staying for love of club only, they probably aren't being chased by other clubs
Its not about players breaking contracts, it's about our best players Hastings, AD, Laurie, Brooks all can sign a new contract from November.
It's reasonble that when they sign a new contract they want to know who the coach is and where the club is going.
Sheens now needs to get a great 'development' coach in soon before November - otherwise we'll have 2017 repeating

To me any talk of walk outs is no different than when someone is made redundant .
there’s endless conversations about how it’s crap and why that person , but very few if anyone ever follows that person out the door .
I think once the new coach comes in and it all settles down , the whole club will move forward .
And if anyone who isn’t engaged anymore , that will usually lead to poor performances anyway.Brooks last year as you guys mentioned seems like a prime example of that.
The issue as well is not about someone who can develop players but also someone who players can rally behind, and get the kind of loyalty guys like Ivan and Madge seem to get .
I think we do need someone who’s focus is development , but we have to find someone with the right personality .
It can’t be a Paul Green or Even Obrien at Newcastle who has a huge disconnect and alienates players .
If Ciraldo is that bloke I’m ok with it .
but Flanagan concerns me not for development but alienating players and eventually either driving them out , or leading to good players passing on us. He had the shire and the beach as a great counter point to his personality . We just don’t have that .
Kimmorely seemed keen on being given the opportunity.. to me it wasn't just as caretaker coach...
Madge started 3 1/2 years ago - a player at 15/16 then is now only 18/19 now
Roughly the age of some of our developing players....
The lack of juniors in our top 30 is the fault of the club prior to madge - Justin Pascoe needs to take repsonbiity to not investing in juniors earlier

Interesting Madden and Liddle gets a recall
So we are going to be a development club, developing players need contract upgrades.
The two over priced contracts that spring to mind are Brooks and Nofa.
WT have successfully been losing with both (Just ask Madge) So WT can keep losing without them.
What percentage are people willing to pay for them to play elsewhere so that saved money can be directed to younger talent?
If the club wants to be ruthless (like decision with Madge) then I hope the return of Nofa is to keep his value high for potential trade.
As for Luke, Im ready to move on with Madden, Hastings, AD, rookie whoever.

I would extend Hastings asap but if he doesn’t want to extend after the next coach is announced I would move him on to wherever he wants to go for 23.
i would also be moving on noffa regardless, pay 250k for him to go to parramatta or dogs or dolphins.
then I would target the Panthers diaspora. We have naden, Laurie, Tamou, Blore but I would target chriton to play fullback, tago to replace noffa and Liam Martin to play back row/lock.
I’m unsure on Douhie. Right now if it was Burton or douhie I probably choose burton
Do we have a transcendent talent in the juniors ?
and I agree with Steve .
for me I’d be going after Kristian Wolfe.
He has a better record in Super league than Robinson had at the time before he went to the Roosters .
