I'm not actually that upset, it was really how I expected the game to go. We actually scored more points than I thought we would.

Now that we’re almost guaranteed the spoon is hard to argue that we don’t deserve it.

The team deserves it for the complete lack of effort in multiple games this year, lack of ability can be forgiven but for professional sportsmen to turn up and not try is unacceptable.

The club deserves the spoon due to the abject recruitment over the past 18 months and also the shambles of sacking a coach with no plan in place for a successor. The decision to appoint Kimmorley over Gardiner as interim coach was also a colossal mistake.

It all adds up to a catalogue of failures on and off the park and it’s very hard to see where the improvement will come from next year.

My word is Directionless.

we just didn’t seem to know where to go, how and when without Hastings in the side.

I think that is key.

We actually hung in harder and longer than I expected. Sharks could really have put one on us but we did keep coming back at them which is a delicate green shoot of hope. That is what I loved about the Naden "no try". That was sheer determination, rarely seen in our colours lately.

Agreed. The sharks did lift their foot though.

@tiger5150 did you agree with the obstruction rule?

Interesting to hear Kimmorley openly criticise the rule.

Generally no although based purely on the small section of video the bunker looks at I can kind of squint and see the decision they made. Naden had run a hell of a long way by the time that the Sharks player decided to brush past Musgrove. As Noddy said, Musgrove cant disappear.

Noddy also drove me insane with his talk about "shape". Shape this and that. its like he has just learned the word or concept and wants to throw it in. That Naden "no" try was the opposite of shape. It was a complete break down of structure and one man simply running as hard and as fast as he could.
