My word to describe todays performance: maladministration. As in the front office.

Substitute-teacher
I remember whenever we got a substitute in, everyone in the class eyes would light up! We'd change names, ask ridiculous questions, get them talking all class - anything to avoid doing work
I really like kimmorley - but he's been given an impossible task given the season has been thrown away halfway through and we've given away 2 forwards with no replacements
And coming in with such a different approach - a few weeks ago madge is swinging a baseball bat pre-game to fire up the boys - while Noddy is saying let's have fun

All our issues aren't fixed by changing the first grade coach. It's more systemic
But the club will say that extensive changes been made across such as GM football, ecruitment committee, pathways, etc. But my question is, why weren't these done 7 years ago?
If they had of made the changes back then, we wouldn't be in this position now. No matter who the head coach is.

The Board, CEO and Sheens better get used to it because it’s not going to get better. We play the Warriors at Mt Smart Stadium next. The first game for the Warriors in NZ for 2 years. We’ll get flogged, and that’s the only game coming up that we had the slightest chance of winning.

First grade coach is a MASSIVE part of it though. I agree and understand much of the criticism of the front office, but at the end of the day if you are trying to attract a player, all they care about is how much$$$, who is the coach, who are my team mates.
Our first grade coach has not improved this team or its players for 3.5 years. They are getting worse. They do not even have the basic principles like fitness, defensive basics. What have they been learning at training for years? They make the same stupic mistakes year on year. The same deficiencies (the gap behind markers) for year on year.
This team and squad is Madges legacy. For years the whispers have risen to a roar that Madge was the reason we couldnt attract players, that thye didnt want to play for him and we all pushed it down, not wanting to believe it, but the proof is there as clear as it can be. This team and their weakness, slow, lazy, unfit condition and lack of skills is the result of a Michael Maguire coached team.
If you want a neat one word heading, mine would be Legacy.
This team is Madges legacy.
Madge has left the office and we get to look at his desk to see what has been happening....
Why is this team unfit?
Why can they not play the defensive basics like defending in a line, staying behind the ball?
Why can we rely on a try being scored most weeks running back against the grain into the gap behind marker for the last 3 years?
Why have none of our kids kicked on?
Why has Brooks gone backwards since Cleary?
