@garry Hey Garry, I’ve tried listening but just get an Ad featuring Joffa or an older podcast. It’s definitely up is it?

It hasn't been released as a pod yet.

@garry Played really well again yesterday. Certainly very consistent this season. Noticed he wore a brace on his right wrist. Have you heard anything?

He is a priority for us to sort out his contract situation.
I haven't heard anything regarding his wrist.

@garry Terrific interview Garry. Certainly sounds a passionate fella does Joffa. His next 2 or 3 years may well be his best especially if he stays & leads some of these young guys coming through, I think it’s a role that he’s made for. He may have been a little immature coming in at the beginning of his career at the Broncos hence his mention of that impressive leadership group they had at that time. I think he’s learnt plenty this past 3 or 4 seasons & it’s making him a better player & person.

Thanks mate, he is the type of player we need.

Just listening to today’s podcast & the talk of Laurie & Staines. One of the problems in terms of consistency for Laurie, in my opinion anyway, is his inexperience. To me he tends to start games well enough but, as often happens, once the team finds themselves leaking points his head drops, he becomes frustrated, a “here we go again” kind of thing happens. And that’s easy to understand given he wants to win & there’s not much of that happening. He’s a competitor but his inexperience leads to frustration. He’ll be better as he matures & with plenty of good leadership around him. The new coaching structure might also help him.
Good interview Garry, esp when Joe started to warm up after a few questions.
Seems like an ideal guy to keep in the forwards as a leader, even if he doesn't necessarily consider himself as a leader. Interesting to hear how realistic he was with his self-criticisms and the methods for fixing the issues, particularly falling back to hard work. Especially so because 2021 he seemed to be coasting a little, still got picked for Origin, and didn't finish the season in best form. He may have even come over from Broncos with imperfect habits or a reliance on the ability of his higher-profile Broncos forwards team-mates. 2022 he has clearly gone up a notch, probably to legitimate Origin level again, and yet says he isn't focusing or expecting to ever play Origin again.
So someone who is modest like that, clearly works hard, has been able to take his game to another level after a lull in form - that's all very respectable for a mid-career guy (he's only 26, probably has 2 contracts left in him), and for a club on the rebuild.
Very respectable guy and I am glad the club is giving him more and more senior exposure, because I never saw this side of him at Broncos, he was always just muscle and no talk.

Thanks mate, I really appreciate that. Joffa was fantastic, we spoke for about 20 minutes after the interview about our families etc. Just a great guy.

Absolutely loving Joffa this year. Do you guys reckon he will move back to 13 or will Hastings keep the spot? I imagine it will hinge on what Brooks does next year...
