Go out and enjoy themselves... isn't that what Benji told the NRL team?

In which case I want the ladies to rip in like it's a semi.

Play without pressure, the pressure is in the Sharks, we have nothing to lose so have a crack & enjoy the contest. It’s not about fun, fun, fun, more about enjoying the contest, finding some fun in that. If a player can’t, if they see it as simply a job or a chore then they’ll perform poorly or simply go through the motions.

Playing finals is intense but more than anything it’s a reward that should be enjoyed. The contest in that situation is, or should be, more intense than regular season, the atmosphere greater so it’s a great opportunity for players to embrace that & enjoy it, no need to stress or worry about it, that’s the fans’ job.

By all means rip in, as you’d hope they could do every game. I guess there is a balance that all athletes must find between enjoying the challenge of the contest & the need to carry out their roles to the best of their ability.

Looks like Najvada is leaving the club after this game. Probably Warriors but could be Dogs. Shame as she’s been an important member of the squad but wish her all the best wherever she ends up. Would imagine Brooke or Pauline a big chance of that 13 jersey next year especially as Amelia, I think, will return after having her baby.

The girls have played a total of 13 games now, 5 of their 11 losses have been by 6 pts or less. They’re yet to win a game by 6 pts or less.

After the loss to Cows 3 weeks ago they’d lost 6 of their 16 games by 6 or less and not won any by 6 or less. Now they’ve won their last 2 games by less than 2 points which is great to see. They can now find a way to win. Tremendous spirit shown especially as played the 2nd half without Sala & Najvada, 2 big outs from the middle. Big rap for Chris Pio to play the full 70 minutes too. But they all did really well & it’s a great way to go into the off-season and come back next year with some positivity.

Last night's effort a great win against a top NRLW side. A huge improvement in their defence and tackling style since the beginning of the season when opposition was trundling down the field every set with PCM.

A couple of things did go our way but you make your own luck. The big Sharks players really tried to bully us but we have some tough young ladies in the team and they kept ripping in.

Fittler was annoyingly pro-Cronulla in his commentary, otherwise it is a really enjoyable game to watch and very positive way for the team to end the season!

The young #5 Claudia Nielsen as well as being one of the best on field also gave one of the best post-match interviews I've seen in recent times especially for a newbie... good young player. with a promising future.

@mike haha true in the team context, relative to me she is very much a youngster! Only her 2nd game in NRLW?

Either way, very impressive on and off the field last night.

Plenty went the Sharks way too, losing our best middle after only 15 minutes and then Najvada, who was offloading and defending well, on half time. The Sharks were ill disciplined so intent on trying to dominate us they pushed it a little too far at times. We have some terrific, young prospects in the side, some found it difficult to find their feet at the beginning of the year. Losana went from only a few games off the bench last year to the organising half this year and she really improved the last 3 or 4 weeks. Brooke moved from half to edge and we had problems finding the right wingers, Claudia took time to adjust from 7s to league but looked good last night. There are really positive signs there.

A bit of work to be done on the roster. The Warriors & Dogs will be looking at a few off contract. Just as well we’re bringing some through the pathways.

Would hope Leianne sticks around. Also thought Natasha very good last few games so would like to see her resign. Really good core group for next year if that’s the case.
