At last a united fans base ( except for the outliers of yesteryear )This has to become a full blown movement , if the supporters of the club are fed up like myself with the mediocre way the club is run at board level this initiative is a must . Whether it’s the right or wrong way this is being done is irrelevant, personally I and many others that I know have had enough of the childish behaviour of individuals that have at there disposal an organisation that could be something very special ,  as movements of the past people power will always break through eventually. Its heartening that ALL social media forums have united this is the sign that enough is enough ,us supporters demand that the organisation we support  is run by professional administrators that have the best interest of the organisation as there top priority!

Despite signing and sharing the petition, and agreeing with much of what @helmesy just posted, I think we're jumping at shadows a bit.

Chammas (a Marshall preferred "journo" .... if he can be called that) and The Mole have their own agendas and needs for relevance. Strategising on the basis of what they have written carries a level of risk; not for HBG or the future of the joint-venture, but for us as fans, members, and agitators.

And, none of this will matter at all if WT have a significantly better season in 2025, as they should, if Marshall et al can coach, given the recruitment that's taken place.

Our actions weren't brought about because of the media reports.

I think what’s really become clear to me in recent days, despite what looks like the vast majority support for the Wests Tigers Unite petition, is that there are still a collection of Wests Magpies and Balmain Tigers fans who have not fully embraced the Wests Tigers.

When push comes to shove the old allegiances are there, just under the surface. I don’t knock anyone for loyalty, but it would be great if you could recognise the enormous value of our Wests Tigers.

For 25 years we have been bashed pillar to post, we’ve been flogged and laughed at, lost once in a generation players, we’ve been mocked and humiliated. There’s also been some amazing highs as well. Like in 2005 when we stood together as one in that finals campaign.

Wests Tigers needs us to get on one page. It needs to be just as loved, embraced and valued as the two amazing foundation clubs were. But primarily Wests Tigers needs to be our number 1, 2 and 3 priority.

Why? Because Wests Tigers is something special. It’s that little boy that’s going to go to a game with his dad this year and fall in love with the club (just as I did with the Tigers in the 1980s). Wests Tigers is about today and tomorrow. Respecting and remembering the past, but not being beholden to it.

That is why Wests Tigers Unite has come into being. To protect and help move something bigger than all of us into a place it deserves - the top.

I’m sorry if our action has caused distress or hurt, but fighting for Wests Tigers is something myself and my colleagues will not stop doing.

I hope you can join us in giving Wests Tigers a chance.

Woah hang on Joel,

If someone doesnt agree with the methodology of your actions, then they are part of a Magpies or Balmain faction and not embraced the Wests Tigers? Really?

That is why Wests Tigers Unite has come into being? Not to get a review into HBG Governance?

So if we truly love the Tigers we will "Unite" and simply jump on board despite cognitive dissonance and logically disagreeing with the methodology, because otherwise we have not fully embraced the Wests Tigers? Just jump on board regardless? Call to emotion much?

Us & them, with us or against us. Pick a side. Im not sure this is the most obvious tactic for "Unity".

Im surprised that it has only come clear to you in recent days that designing a petition into the governance of only one side of the merger would stir up partisan stupidity. IMO this is one of the most obvious negative repercussions of the review and I would have assumed would have been factored into your decision to go ahead.

Well, as they say - you’re damned if you do and you’re damned if you don’t.

We felt the issue was of such importance that we bandied together for something we feel is right (or at least something we see as wrong).

The cat is now out of the bag, the rubicon has been crossed and we aren’t turning back.

Let’s see what eventuates from L & G and ministerial inspection of HBG governance. If they are compliant then we will be proven wrong.

Another quick point - the whole thing is a possible opportunity for HBG (and Wests Tigers) for evolution, it is not a revolution.

Along the way it’s also crucial that we don’t “eat our own”

Ohh, sorry. This was going to happen anyway? Presumably because the current HBG mob had not implemented the review's recommendations? The fact that stories appeared in the media had nothing to do with this strategy?

This had been in the planning for a couple of months, back before the HBG directors were suspended. HBG has been backing away from implementing the review since the change in Chairman back in April, we have had concerns since then. The latest issues at HBG and the media reports definitely have added to that concern but we are also getting information about what is happening from other sources.

The biggest impact that the latest media reports have had is probably on when we hit the go button on this.

I will also state that the club is in a much better position than 12 months ago, this is through the changes that were made at the end of 2023. If we want long term success then the changes need to implemented in full.

Success starts at the front office. In this case the majority owners HBG. Currently they are very much a negative influence on the NRL franchise

Well, as I see it, your either for this Petition or Against it.There are no shades of grey in this. The old diehards either evolve or dissolve and bugger off.

Im 72 and I have evolved into a Wests Tigers Fan.Not Wests or Balmain. To the blokes running this petition, put the foot on the accelerator and run over any bastard that get in the way of the objective.

PS,Id like another Final Series appearance before I leave this earth. Im running out of time.
