There are so many issues moving into the ‘27 season ..1st priority is assistant coaches they are the major key .strength and conditioning , depth has been exposed . AD has to be moved on he is next years spanner  in the works I can not understand how he has not been exposed for the leaking after his dummy spit  I would suspect there is no trust there anymore . The conversation around Bula at fullback is another.

The problem with douhie is that he is first grade standard and has some good attributes like a long kicking games, goalkicking is pretty good, running game is dangerous. He also some pretty bad attributes like being a bit of a ball hog, being a bit of a sook at times, being questionable in defense at times - all of these are mostly attitude things and things he has had his whole career (my personal gripe is when he’s tackled he always gets to his feet slowly). I don’t think those things change, I think that’s ingrained in his personality. Ultimately you can’t build your team around him. He has to be replaced

@tigertownsfs earlier in the year and last year his defence was unbelievable. So good. Before that useless , again useless now. Is that cause of injury?

He can’t run the team, he’s a good runner of ball,  lock would be good, but you got to pass as well even at lock, if you hog it then what about the rest of team.

Would anyone be keen to see Douihie take KPPs spot if the latter was moved to lock?

”Hey Adam, I’m picking you to play second row this week.”

”Sure thing coach, whatever you need.” 😂

One thing is very clear. We need to play with a traditional 7 first receiver structure. This idea that we can play multiple 6s has never worked and it’s no surprise that over the last decade we have looked best with Jackson Hastings and Jock Madden (two average players at best) in that role. Can Latu play that role? I hope so but it’s clear that Douhie isn’t that guy. It has to be Latu/madden 7 and backup and then however is the best 6. If that’s Douhie to start and Javon to finish the season thats fine, if it’s avarotti that’s cool too but we Ned to commit to this structure

I agree with everything you have said here except the bit about Jackson Hastings. Jackson Hastings was and is a fraud. he is not a traditional halfback, he is not an "organising" halfback, he is simply a fraud.

We didn't "look best" with him at 7. He had 11 games at 7 for us and won 3 of them for a 27% success rate.

Some fans bang on about Hastings that we "looked best" or he is an "organiser" or "traditional" 7 because he points well.  Not even joking that was his con artistry and his fraud. He just constantly yells and points aimlessly and fans swoon at his "organising". Total fraud that has been worked out by seven clubs now.
